All NBA First Draft - Play in - lilroddyb vs Dr Positivity*

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

Defensive matchups: We're going to start with IHart on Davis, McHale on Green, Mullin on White, Harper on Penny, Wade on Thompson. This is a little awkward but we get a handle on his most athletic players and his two stars, and Caruso is a huge asset against this lineup. We also cause him some problems on the other end, for example his small frontcourt lineups could have issues as Hartenstein is underrated rebounder, and Sabonis can score over a player like Thompson.

Penny/Davis and Wade/McHale are close, while his team has a bit more talent around them but it fits worse whereas we have a nice mix of Mullin as 3rd option shooter, Harper as balanced PG and Hartenstein, Sabonis, Caruso and Ingles is excellent bottom 4. Mitchell will have to share the ball with Penny and it is also an ok defensive fit and I'm not sure how Thompson's offensive game fits in. While he has the best bench player I'd argue the back of ours is better with no weak links.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Tough to win with only 2 All Stars, even with very high quality non-All stars.

Also not exactly an ideal team to go small against.

I like Penny-AD-White as a starting point, but it seems like adding Mitchell and Amen made things a bit too complicated for roddy.
