A player who’s been constantly injured but when is heathy can play at an all nba level is available for trade at a diminished value?

That sounds right up Bobby’s alley.

Except Kawhi was 5 yeras younger when we traded for him, and was a far better player than AD.

There is no trade that makes us better this year or in the future. We wouldn't be able to field a starting 5 this year.

I really like AD, but I don't see this as the right time to make such a trade. Also...Scottie/Ingram/AD seems like a problematic spacing thing.

He scores at all levels. He can pass. And he doesn’t have attitude issues. If we can keep him healthy, which is a big if, then it’s a gamble that can really pay off.

His problem is healthy. So lets say hes healthy and that problem is relatively solved. He also doesnt wanna play Center. Hes just an issue you have to have the perfect roster constructed to compliment him. The Hawks can make it work.

This shams report of us being interested in AD is terrifying me. I don't want to give up future firsts for this dude. Unless its for rj, Gradey, yak, not sure i want to gut the roster for guy who is supremely talented but always injuried and hardly available.

Could you imagine having both BI and AD the two most injury prone guys in league on the same team?

Doesn't matter. As long as Quickley is your PG and Dick is your best 3pt shooter you aren't winning a playoff round.

Gut what roster? Shead can't reliably score off the bench and CMB has no offensive game whatsoever and is co stantoy getting beat on defense. Trade these guys while you can because starting this off-season the jury's out and no one will want these players.

Unpopular but correct opinion: Ingram getting 37+ minutes a night exposes this team so much defensively and since we don't have a bench that can score, you're stuck with him giving up a ton of points. Watch tonight's game against the Knicks and you'll wonder why we're giving up so many points to Josh Hart & OG Anunoby. OG might drop 30 on Ingram's head tonight tbh.

This is just agents throwing **** out there. Davis doesn’t want to play center. We have Barnes at 4. He doesn’t fit the age range of our current core either. Pass.

His injury concern is why he can never be the best player on a team. Give that and his age it should be a hard pass for us

I don't think Bobby risks his job to do this, there are serious longterm risks cap-wise. But if theoretically something based mainly around Yak+RJ gets it done, how does that team actually stack up in the East?

I'm all for these big risky trades but AD is almost too risky....he's way too injury prone.

It was a miracle he was even able to last in the Lakers bubble playoff run.

My issue with this idea is that AD is ALWAYS injured. The kind of haul the Mavericks would be asking for, it may not translate to the Raptors maintaining enough to win, especially if AD goes down AGAIN. His talent is obvious, and his skill set would tremendously improve the Raptors starting 5 on both sides of the ball. AD, unfortunately, is Mr. Glass, and if the Raptors really want to go all in, I'm not sure that AD is the obvious choice at this moment.

At his age and health condition, he doesn't really have a choice. He still has a place as a modern C, but probably less effective as a PF.

I'll say the same thing I did for the KD trade rumours. We aren't in a position to do these trades, largely because of the FOs own short term wasteful moves, but this is their plan, and I'm down for the least expensive to the future versions of these trades, which old or brittle superstars like KD and AD fit.

And more importantly, this one requires Jak to be put in it, along with RJ who they want to move. Both are the worst fits on the team around Barnes. Replaced with both a better spacing and gravity alternative.

Your adding a guy who makes 50 mill, you would gut the roster no matter how you look at it:

For sure Barrett and Yak, would have to go the way or Barrett or Quickely, plus a collection of rookies/young guys (whether that's Gradey/Kobe/Shaead, cMB)... so you get 1 extremely talent guy, who is always injuried, and now even have a bigger hole in you bench, because your team salary is tied to 3 guys (BI, Scottie, and AD).

And if and WHEN AD gets hurts, good luck..
