Good question. He's JJ's agent, not Giannis'. So that is the question, why would he want to facilitate JJ being traded. He really wants to play for Doc? (joking). Maybe it's as simple as wanting to come home but I doubt it.
If he was traded for Giannis, he'd probably average like 27/12/5 on a garbage Bucks team and put himself in line for a max deal once eligible again.
Do you realize he's averaging 24/10/8 right now?

Do you think he maintains those numbers if he’s playing next to Giannis and Trae 2 weeks from now?

Yes indeed. If he reads our forum, he must be thinking how fickle the fanbase is. He would be very disillusioned about the typical fans’ expected loyalty. He would be thinking “I have done so much and this is my reward “. And he would be right.
Maybe life is mostly like that.

His reward has been being worshipped by the fans for 13 years and making many millions. He's been embraced by the city and state. He could easily quell all of the rumors and speculation but he doesn't. Why? Because at the end of the day he's going to do what's best for Giannis not the fans. And that's fine. He has every right to do so. If he's "disillusioned" it's of his own making. It's his circus. The team has bent over backwards for GM Giannis. Mortgaged the future. If he wants to bail and not see it through, goodbye and good luck. And if he does want to stay and see it through then he can end the circus at any time by simply saying so.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Just to be clear, 90% of Bucks fans on here are only entertaining trade ideas now because Giannis or his agent seemingly leaked their uncertainty about his future with the Bucks.
We all love Giannis, and I will never forget how he saved this franchise, nor do I ever want him to leave the Bucks. He’s the greatest Buck of all time. He will get his statue and will be celebrated in Milwaukee forever. This is his decision. If he wants to stay, all he has to do is say the word.

Another possibility is JJ wants to be point forward and he can't play the way he wants when Traes on the balldrone3 wrote:It's more than the money... Or Giannis. Dick Tate brought that up. Could be an amazing pair or both have very similar skillset.

Giannis has been consistent from day one. He said he would stay as long as the team was winning. We did a lot of winning and he stayed longer than most would've. Giannis will always be loved here.

We would be winning this year too IF he plays defense and box out. He just stands at defense this year. 0 effort. Off course, that is because he wants to leave and doesn't want to get injury (but he is injured anyway).
But yes, he will always be loved. There are 7 games newer, but I still play this one:

Hopefully we’re smart enough to not negotiate with only one team.
But then again I’m a Nico was a Nike plant to get Luka to LA conspiracy theorist…

I thought the Jrue trade won the championship or was it the PJ Tucker trade? Can't remember but I know I was told Giannis couldn't win without those guys.

Hated in the short-term if he goes to the Knicks, loved in the long-term when he retires from basketball. See Favre, Rodgers.

I’m not sure this fan base has been “quick to discard” or “fickle” about anything. This is now year 6 of trade demand rumors that he hasn’t full throatedly denied and seems to have come to a head. Over those six years, we’ve made move after move to appease him and keep him here. Eaten heaps of dead salary. We’ve traded a decade worth of picks. We’ve given contracts to his non NBA brothers. We’ve hired 2 terrible coaches. We’ve dealt with his injuries.
I think the team and fan base has never wavered in their support of him through this. Now, it seems like he’s just done with us. So people are kind of moving on.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

I also remember some podcast a couple years ago begin to say that Giannis has become "americanized". What he meant was that Giannis had begun to become like the other basketball players treating it as a business and not the fun loving Giannis with loyalty no matter what to the team that drafted him.

Idk why it would be just because of that. We aren't winning a chip with this team and Doc so trading him even if he never requested it makes tons of sense right now. This is the last year to get max value.

Yeah, but it also does make it easier to leave the Bucks, even if it was originally a decision that could easily be justified independently of his future NBA plans.
I still think that Horst scrounges up something to appease Giannis for the rest of the year though. Horst has his drafting warts, but he's been an outright conjurer in terms of cap gymnastics, midnight max extensions, and unexpected trades to appease Giannis. My prediction is that they trade this year's more valuable pick (they can dodge the Stepien rule as long as they acquire a late 2026 first-rounder in return) and Kuzma for a serviceable rebounder/defender, ideally at SF.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

Re: Giannis Thread - Giannis Trade Ideas Here - Haynes report pg 57
I've generally believed Giannis wasn't willing to go make a public statement slamming the trade rumors and would instead kind of softly reaffirm his commitment to the team (which he did lots of times) because he's just wired different than most athletes and didnt want to make a statement that would look bad in the future if he ever changed his mind.
Maybe that's still what's going on here with the "I see a wall and want to run through it" of it all, but his presumed leaks to Haynes recently have felt more like "I will continue to play hard as long as I'm here" which is completely different and sounds a lot more like he actually does want out to me.
