I don’t disagree but what metrics are you utilizing?

Im not basing it on any statistical metric im going off the eye test. If you can get 3 franchise caliber players in a single draft sprinkled with all stars here and there and good role players to round it out thats considered a great draft and I see that playing out with this class. Granted, its still very early and small sample size but the depth of this class and the immediate impact for their respective franchise this early into the season jumps out. Usually theres a learning curve and a transition period for rookies to establish a role for their team but these rookies apparently didnt get that memo.

Flagg at 18 is already assuming the role of go to scorer for mavericks and blossoming into two way star. Hes way ahead of his projected trajectory as far as im concerned. Harper is so skillful he plays like a seasoned allstar veteran. If not for his injury setback and limited minutes his production would be even higher. Knueppel is a marksman and is further along than many expected this early. Queen put up a +30 point triple double in 33 min in his 25th game of his career and making Zion expendable. Fears is emerging as Murray to Queens Jokic. Edgecombe is already making an impact as key contributor for a playoff caliber team. Then you have rookies establishing themselves as really good role players like Coward Kalkbrenner Murray Boyles etc.

One of the worst draft takes I've read on here in some time. I think it might only be better than one or two going back a decade. Like, pretty much every draft class is stronger and some by a lot (2017, 2018, 2021)

Ummm ... what?

To take one example, these are the 5 best plyers from the 2018 draft class that you rate so highly -

Luka
SGA
Trae
Brunson
Mikal Bridges

Perhaps this year's group won't have two MVP candidates, as with Luka and SGA (or maybe it will -- after all, nobody was calling SGA a future MVP when he was a rookie), but its depth is MUCH greater. I can just about guarantee that it will have more All Stars, and that its 6th best player will become better than Ayton and Dante.

To cite another example, the 2017 draft class had Fultz, Lonzo, Josh Jackson, Jonathan Isaac, Frank Ntilikina, Dennis Smith Jr, and Zach Collins in the Top 10. That makes 7 misses out of 10, with Tatum being the only MVP candidate (sort of). Admittedly, there were several very good players later in the first round, but again no MVP candidate. It's pretty unlikely that anybody from 2017 will ever win that award.

Huge friday rookie night by two best rooks so far, Coward with higher mins and usage could shine, but impressed how smart, skilled and full ready and good basketball player Danny Wolf is. Nets had five first round picks and last one, 27th pick is best by far

Coop ROY.

Sorry Queen.

Coop another flawless performance 22 points, 10-15 fielding, 7 assists, 0 turnovers with 5 mins left in today's game...

Its becoming clear to everyone now, rookie Coop is having a better season than rookie LeBron.
me talking about Cooper Flagg https://voca.ro/19wAPt3lBrIW

Man, they are good. It's hard to believe that Duke lost any games last year.

Kon continues to really impress. He's Charlotte's best player already imo.

Wolf was mostly in the G-league and lately getting some burn off the bench

He's starting to look pretty sweet
tonight he got 27 mins off the bench in a down to the wire competitive loss at Dallas

6-10 from the field, 3-3 from 3, all in all 17 pts, 7 rebs a steal and a block

dude plays the right way, not a star by any means but should carve out a nice role and career for himself

Mavs won 5 straight (OKC don't count), Coop is arguably the best player on the team, 25/7/3 with 2 stocks a game on 60% FG%, without a proper 3 pt shot even.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Another way of putting the matter is that Kon and Cooper are each the 2nd best players on their teams. Kon behind Miles Bridges (don't give me LaMelo, with his indifferent defense, high usage, and 51% true shooting percentage, he struggles to be a positive player) and Cooper of course behind AD.

Plus, Coward and Queen have been either the 3rd or 4th best players on their teams, depending upon how you do the ranking.

I mean, that's remarkable. For comparison's sake, Castle wasn't anywhere near being a Top 5 player on a bad Spurs team last season, and he was Rookie of the Year.

Lol "argubaly"

Coop is nice and having a great season. AD has been the best player on the team,it isn't close and there's no argument to the contrary...

Yeah, disagree, definitely not to "Lol" level, AD missed one of these games, Cooper led the team on all fronts basically an played well in the other 4 games...
