The difference in Avdalas' splits when he plays good teams vs when he plays bad teams is pretty crazy. Really struggled against the few somewhat good teams he's played against (his only really good games coming against the 149th and 346th ranked defenses respectively, basically against future accountants). The ACC conference play could make or break his draft stock.

Right now in our range...I like Cam Carr, Neo & Cenac the most.

I don't see Tonde falling out of the lottery. Sarr seems a bit interesting but I think he projects more as a solid 3+D rotation guy. I'm not that high on Acuff as it seems most people are, he looks a bit small to me and not a great shooter or that fast, to me that's not a recipe for an elite guard, solid one maybe but not a top one. Meleek Thomas kinda seems like another Malik Monk type of player that would be a good 6th man scoring type. I think Yaxel makes his way into the back end of the lottery & personally I'm not that wowed by Steinbach but if we end up more so in the 20s then I don't mind him as a pick because obv we desperately need a backup C, I just think this draft has too much depth that there should be a more talented prospect available and we need talent more than fit imo.

I’m really liking Patrick Ngongba for our range right now. He has really nice passing skills for a big.

How does he compare to Egor Demin?

Demin's performance also fluctuated heavily depending on what level team he was playing against. Purely looking at their skillset, Avdalas seems much more well rounded. He doesn't have any elite skills (like Demin's vision) but also doesn't have those huge question marks that Demin had (no first step burst, very questionable three).

I think Ngongba is a better prospect than Cenac. I think that both have similar potential to shoot the 3. Cenac has surprisingly low blocks. Ngongba is a good passer.

Darius Acuff at 6'3 is the prototypical new generation PG and really should be a late lottery pick but this draft is deep. I guess trade IQ for a big, then let Shead start and Acuff battle to start.

I can see Acuff rising as high as #6, just outside the top 5 of Peterson, Dybansta, Boozer, Wilson. Heck, why not 5th before Kingston Flemings, Ament and Mikel Brown?

Though at 6'4 Kingston Flemings is so lanky and gets 2 steals per game.

Dash Daniels, Australia -
Dame Sarr, Duke
Cameron Carr, Baylor
Tounde Yessoufou, Baylor
Isiah Harwell, Houston
Brayden Burries, Arizona
Karter Knox, Arkansas

I feel these are Jakobe Walter size 3&D, not exactly 6'8 in Dunn or Bryant.

My list from mid 1st would be
Nate Ament - most likely gone before our pick
Dailyn Swain - still improving his 3
Donnie Freeman - injury concern and 3 point shooting is down a bit
Joshua Jefferson - James Johnson lite with 3?

Ja'Kobe is 6'4" tall & 190 lbs with a 6'10" wingspan

Dash Daniels is 6'6" tall & 200 lbs with a 6'10 wingspan
Dash has the same wingspan, but he's 2 inches taller and 10 lbs heavier.

Dame Sarr is 6'8" tall & 190 lbs with a 7'0" wingspan
Dame is the same weight, but he's 4 inches taller with a wingspan that is 2 inches longer

Cameron Carr is 6'6" tall & 200 lbs with a 7'2" wingspan
Cameron is 2 inches taller, 10 lbs heavier and has a wingspan that is 4 inches longer

Tounde Yessoufou is 6'4" tall & 215 lbs with a 6'9" wingspan
Tounde has the same height and wingspan, but is 25 lbs heavier

Isiah Harwell is 6'6" tall & 220 lbs with a 6'10" wingspan
Isiah is 2 inches taller and 30 lbs heavier with the same wingspan

Brayden Burries is 6'4" tall & 205 lbs with an unknown wingspan
Brayden is the same height, but 15 lbs heavier

Karter Knox is 6'6" tall & 215 lbs with a 6'10" wingspan
Karter has the same wingspan, but he's 2 inches taller and 25 lbs heavier
Raptors record prediction: 45-37 (6th place in the East)

Walter was 6'6 with shoes if you were to compare with shoes for everyone on the list. I have been in these draft threads over 10 years, know my sources.

Given his weight, height, and wingspan, Ja'Kobe is definitely a guard, but the same cannot be said about all of the prospects noted above since a few of them are quite taller/longer (Sarr, Carr) or much heavier/bulkier (Harwell, Knox) than Ja'Kobe and could arguably develop into a 3&D wing in the same mold as players like Ryan Dunn or Carter Bryant.

i dont think we need anymore small guards or small wings...we are consistently being punished on the glass and bullied by bigger players...we need big wing defenders or a proper big man badly

I dont see most of them being big enough to be compared to Dunn or Carter, and not we didnt draft Mogbo and CMB who are closer to Dunn or George. The measurement before Draft Combine was off as well, Sarr, Carr are basically Walter measurement pre-draft (his school has Walter at 6'7 with shoes), Knox is slow and people suspect his height last year.

What about Dwayne Aristode? Would he fit the mold you're looking for?

Not as impactful defensively as I was expecting so far, but he's got great tools to be a bench forward, 3&D type. late first/2nd rounder IMO. Yaxel is likely in the same range, and to my mind is a far better player

Kingston Fleming has played himself out of our likely range. The kid's a stud. No way we get the chance to draft him.

Darius Acuff is a baller as well. Him, I can actually see falling bc of his meh height and athleticism, but that would be a mistake. Reminds me a little of a less athletic Stephon Marbury.

Aristode is younger and have a pretty high TS%, would not be surprised he goes higher to mid first. However, him being a low usage player (13%) is hard to project, and this seems to be a deep draft, he might be in the late first.

I think if he can show more skills and take a higher role in the draft combine next year, he might go to mid first. His ball handling is a bit high, so only having C&S might limit him a bit.

As for defense, I haven't seen any highlights nor watch any college basketball game yet, maybe I can watch the game when I have time.

Small guard with high level skill and strength plus good defender is alright to me (Lowry / Chris Paul), but I never have "wing" in my definition.
You need to have advance ball handling and shooting to play either guard spot. If you don't have a guard handle, you got to be big enough as a forward with perimeter game in shooting.

Nate Ament was listed as the #4 RSCI guy, but there were the top 3 and then there was a gap and they listed him as the best of the rest. He's not ready, but UT probably has the best strength and conditioning program in the country and he definitely needs more bulk. I'm generally against anybody who should go 1st round returning to school since they should develop better in the NBA or might not develop in college and result in becoming undrafted, but he needs it.
