Man, Pearsall's body must be made of tissue paper. So sad.

Its worth noting he took a couple gunshots to the chest, and came out relatively unscathed.

But yeah, he is perpetually hurt. Which is frustrating.

Encouraging to see Pearsall didn't head to the locker room early.

Did you hear that somewhere, or speculating?

When he left in the 1st quarter, it was an ankle issue.

I get the whole, iron sharpens iron sentiment, which carries some validity.

But man, I kinda hate the NFC west. Its seemingly always a dang gauntlet.

SF is 10-4, and is in THIRD freakin place in the division.

At the risk of scape-goating, I will admit that if the Niners fired their entire training/medical staff this offseason, I won't shed a tear.

Medical staff and players are under pressure to play ASAP.

First catch, Pearsall was pulled down from behind and the DB got his body on Pearsall’s legs as he pulled him down. If he had been fully healthy, he doesn’t limp off the field after having his lower legs wedged under.

Just a physical sport, two big stars blew out their ACLs today. Previous week a QB blew out his Achilles and his team brought out a 44-year old out of retirement.

Injuries happen but we're consistently one of the most injured teams year in and year out and to me that's signs of a systemic issue. We also have a lot of soft tissue injuries which is one injury you'd expect the medical staff to at least reduce. I mean yeah no medical staff is going to prevent Warner's ankle from bending the wrong way but they should be able to prepare bodies to reduce strains and pulls.

A win is a win. 10-4. Considering all the injuries and movement in free-agency, it's been a heck of a season. The defense will likely struggle against a good offense in the playoffs, but should be entertaining to see if we can get hot at the right time.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

Pearsall confirmed after to game the knee injury is the same PCL injury he has suffered through. It is something he is going to have to try and manage through the rest of the season and then have it looked at during the offseason.

Pearsall confirmed after to game the knee injury is the same PCL injury he has suffered through. It is something he is going to have to try and manage through the rest of the season and then have it looked at during the offseason.

In addition to aggravating his PCL, he also has a sprained ankle (at least its a low sprain and not a high ankle sprain). Shanahan didn't rule him out of the next game (yet), but also said he may not practice this week. History shows that unless your name is Trent Williams, guys who don't practice often aren't active for game day. Kyle said the PCL isn't as bad as it was earlier this season, but its the cumulation of injuries that are making it difficult to manage the pain. And even if he is able to suit up for the next game, the pain may be such that he goes back to being "the invisible guy" that he was prior to yesterday.

For what its worth, Pearsall told Kyle that he was convinced he would have scored on his big 38-yard catch and run if not for the PCL issue; he said he felt it barking at him when he tried to turn on the jets.
