This. We have become Russia. They seek to blatantly steal our neighbors resources on literally Trumped up claims.

They want to reduce costs and look better to the American people but rather than admit their tariff boondoggle is a scam to steal from American people, (and that forcing out hard working immigrants is tanking the economy) instead they want to seize the resources of a sovereign country. While bragging about keeping oil prices low.

You now hear their mouthpieces in Faux News stating “South America literally has America right in its name”… like duh so it should be ours come on guys.

This makes the ICE actions make so much more sense. If the repugnican plan is simply to seize all the resources of Latin America then you don’t people inside your borders who may resist.
Blowing up the supposed drug boats was a ruse. The chicanarey preconditioned Americans to view war footage as rah rah good stuff. Meanwhile, vilifying Maduras and Venezuelans was part of psy ops.

Taking the oil has been the end game all along.

Trump has already mused about annexing Canada and Greenland. He says Nigeria is mistreating Christians, and we will go in guns blazing. He calls some countries shithole countries. Calls women ugly. He's obsessed with hatred of a young Somali woman and her headdress. He mocked her and said she's always bitching.

The naval carrier group and aircraft and Marines all tipped the invasion hand several weeks ago. This tanker is just the start. Trump's base is gonna LOVE the killin' of those bad people who bring drugs into 'murica.

The ICE agents and National Guard unwitting participants will assist in the PRE-PLANNED mass incarcerations. Many for-profit prisons have already been built and staffed. There just aren't enough prisoners. YET. The doggone blacks in DC and Chicago haven't acted up in the way Trump wanted. He hasn't been able to declare martial law. When the Afghan shot two guards members, Trump didn't even lower the flag in mourning. He pledged to send 500 more troops to AMERICAN CITIES.

Trump is, at best, a Russian asset. He seriously could be the Antichrist.

Could he be more duplicitous, mean-spirited, narcissistic, and consumed with delusions of grandeur? His charisma charms his flock of minions.

The devil charms by holding up a mirror.

GOP loses bid in deep red IND to gerrymander the
state. Golfy went all in, despite whatever he might
claim, to pass it and failed.

I said not that long ago that when the tide turned,
there was a good chance it would do so almost before
people realized it was happening.

All the political battles recently have been losses for MAGA.

Mayor Pete, commenting on Chris Hayes, said more and
more folks, of whatever party, are realizing that one
day sooner than most realize, Golfy will be gone. Pols
are developing a spine as this becomes more obvious.

Edit to add- Abrego Garcia released. The incompetency
of the DoJ rears its head again. DoJ never had lawful
authority to detain/deport him.

yet another fail by Golfy

he wants to pardon Tina Peters. But he can't.

https://time.com/7340460/trump-pardon-tina-peters-jared-polis-2020-election/

as many of us know...

Trump doesn’t have the authority to pardon Peters, however. Presidential clemency powers extend only to federal cases, while Peters—the only Trump ally currently imprisoned in connection with the efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election—was convicted last year in a state court.

That means that rather than an actual pardon, Trump’s announcement is simply a symbolic show of support. But it marks a high point in his Administration’s advocacy for the former county clerk, who the President in May called a “political prisoner” and said was being “horribly and unjustly punished.”

One guy's opinion, could end up being totally wrong.
Probably find out in a year or so.

It looks like 2026 will be another "wave" election, with big D wins.
But is there any reason there will be carryover to 2028? The Ds are very unpopular too. They need an economic message to sway voters. Just being anti-trump won't keep working.

Like it or not, they have to adopt the affordability theme. It will irritate their corporate sponsors and all their 1990s consultants, but they have to realize they can't win by letting AI steal all the money and hand it to billionaires. Tax the rich, pay for Healthcare subsidies, restore all federal support for healthcare and state education, free tuition (start with community college), subsidize public transport. Free school lunches for everyone is actually a really good policy. Trump is presenting an opportunity by eliminating all the subsidies so we see which ones we really need, and in reinstating them we have an opportunity to do it smarter. Yeah the way DEI was implemented created a little subsidy dependent cottage industry that didn't talk to people outside their bubble (that was my experience in the aid industryanyway). Can we fix it by trying something different?

Trump made an absolutely heartless and despicable post about the tragic death, at the hands of his mentally troubled, drug addicted son, of beloved director Rob Reiner, whose first six films were This is Spinal Tap, The Sure Thing, Stand by Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry met Sally, and Misery, five of which were some of the best movies ever made. But tell me more about how people should lose their jobs for citing words Charlie Kirk actually said.

Tim Miller - Live your life in such a way that America's
worst president sends a deranged and disgusting post
about you when you die.

Vance would be a weak candidate. No one seems to like him. But Nixon was elected and no one liked him either.

Vance won't be handed the nomination, especially if Trump continues the downward spiral. I bet Rubio tries again.

This all goes back to the horrible Supreme Court gerrymandering decision.
There are a lot of bad decisions coming out of this court, but this one bothers me the most. It seemed so against the ideals of democracy. It's fu'd up the country and will continue to do so.

This SCOTUS is irredeemably bad.

They invented the notion of Presidetial immunity out
of whole cloth. It was and is a transparently partisan
decision with the sole purpose of protecting Trump.

Of course there are a host of other horrible decisions
one can point to.

Trump doubled down on his despicable statement after Reiner's death and Republican lawmakers lapped it up like proper lickspittles. The Republican party has no decency (or courage), and to vote for them means that's who you want representing you - evil cowards. You don't have to vote Democrat, but no one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to vote for these evil shmucks. You're a grownup with agency. You don't like your choices, go out and volunteer for a candidate you do like. Don't be twelve. Grow up.
