Giannis + Turner = RJ + IQ + Poeltl + Pick package

Mortgaging the future for whatever MVP level play Giannis has left. We would still need a backup centre.

Can the Bucks do better? They could do a lot worse.

I had Giannis and Turner for Scottie and Yak + picks.

I think that is the best the Bucks can do and would make us a contender if healthy.

The fack it, let's go crazy trade. Neither team says yes, but I think the valuations are correct. Trade works when Yak becomes trade eligible next month.

I wouldn't consider doing this without the Clippers 2026 pick. With that pick it becomes a yes, but then you're tearing the whole thing down.

Really awful for Toronto Barnes for a pick outside the top 5 plus a non lotto pick and some swaps. Yeah might as well pack up your franchise

So I tried to see if there's a way to get Risacher as part of a 3-teamer if the Hawks did pull off an AD deal per the recent rumors...pretty hard to do as it turns out!

He's making $13 million so even doing a Dick/Ochai/draft capital move won't get one over the finish line. Mogbo or another minimum would need to go in this deal. I guess you could move Mamu to a 4th team for draft capital if you don't think you'll be able to retain him & don't want to lose him for nothing. But ideally you'd like to keep Sandro on the team for this and several seasons to come.

Clippers are on a mini win streak, so they probably stay put considering they don't own their pick. Maybe they are more likely to trade Harden b/c he has a player option for next year?

IQ + Gradey for Harden works salary wise. Harden is actually playing well, but he's old and on his last legs. So this move may be too short sighted, and I may still pass.

If the Clippers would take a FRP to also swap Poeltl and Zubac, then that's definitely more enticing. I'd expect Clippers to pass though considering how injury prone Poeltl has been and the number of years left on his contract.
IQ + Gradey + Poeltl + FRP for Harden + Zu + CP

I don't know who compensates who. Lamelo is clearly flawed but so is IQ (it could be argued IQ at SG is not flawed). IQ has 3.5 years left though

There’s really no value that we’re adding to this trade. I believe the Mavericks would rather just get Riscasher to space the floor for Cooper than our trio.

C/PF Maxime Raynaud (#42) drafted after Alijah Martin (#39) is having a nice rookie season and I think would have really helped the Raptors who obviously were not high on him - Any reason why the Raptors in need of C/PF help passed on him for another guard?

Max wanted to go to Sac, players/agents get to dictate a lot more in the 2nd round.
Kyle Flip wanted to Utah
Max wanted Sac, Shead wanted a standard contract or wanted to go undrafted.

Thanks - Why are players/agents able to dictate more in the 2nd round? Don't their rights remain with the drafting team.

since the second round doesn't have guaranteed contracts like the 1st, players might not workout with you, will hold out interviews, their agents will let teams know not to draft him, or I'm interested in here, or someone already agreed to my terms so please dnd. The teams comply because, you're a 2nd rounder and I have 5 other guys on my draft board who I probably like just as much.

Dick for Missi?

The Pels can give him more scoring opportunity and a longer leesh.

Poeltl / Missi / Bamba
Barnes / CMB
Ingram / Mamu
RJ / Agbaji / Walter
IQ / Shead

Queen / Looney
Zion / Bey
Herb / Poole
Murphy / Dick
Fears / Alvarado

That could develop into a good team. There's depth and a variance of different skills with minor overlap.

The Raptors get a young big they can develop. They get a defensive / rebounding C similar to Koloko and Poeltl. We usually benefit from playing this type of player next to Barnes.

What is Fox's price going to be when the experiment fails there?

I'm guessing there will likely be swaps with some other star PGs that need a change of scenery (Trae, Lamelo, Garland etc) but he would be a good get.
