Thank God. All we need is a 10-15min of big man play even if you don't even know they're out there. Rebound /set picks/ and prevent layup drill at basket.

Blake Murphy @blakemurphy.bsky.social
Bamba’s deal is non-guaranteed, per source.
All contracts guarantee on Jan. 10, so they could waive him by then and this is effectively a 12-day contract.
But the prorated daily amount will count toward that tax line they’ll probably be trying to dodge at the deadline.

It’s probably bad if they’re resorting to signing Mo Bamba sadly.
Back injuries linger and never fully heals during the season. I think they shut Jak down indefinitely until he fully recovers, and it will definitely take some time.

Trading Ochai for a 2nd rounder easily gets us out of the tax. We shouldn’t be worried about it.

He has been dealing with back issues, and missed preseason due to it, as I recall. Would not surprise me if he is out for several months.

Hoping raps are shutting down Yak until end of Feb. He needs the rest to get better.

Season saved… I remember seeing college highlights of this guy thinking he was gonna be special

Yeah I'm sure they crunched some numbers before finally doing this.

Bamba would spell 10-15 minutes at C the rest is Scotties, Mamu or CMB.

I pretty confident it is. Bobby has an aversion to C’s lol. He would not have signed him if Jakob was coming back anytime soon. Even the fact that they are waiting until tomorrow to make this big “announcement” lets me know it’s bad. Jakob will probably be out for months. Hopefully not season ending but it’s gonna be a long time.

about as good a C option as you can get without making a trade. Hope he can make it work here.

Not even the Lakers wanted him. The hell happened to this guy
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars
Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid
There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I don't think any team is giving you pure capspace (and a 2nd) for Ochai. At best we're probably looking for deals where we swap Ochai for someone else and add incentive to clear 1-2M like the rumored Richards deal with the Suns
