Nuggets down 4 starters, either a fake win or a bad loss

I guess they go small without Jokic. We should unleash CMB. I have a feeling his interior percentages will eventually break through and show up. He should be a double double off the bench most nights with great defense. He can definitely do that in his rookie year.

Get well soon to Jokic
This Raptors team has faced the softest schedule imaginable, good grief

Those were 2 very scrappy come back wins against two good opponents.
We may be a bit lucky we face a very injured Nuggets without multiple starters including Jokic tomorrow, but hopefully we don't blow it like we did against the Wiz.

That's been the story of the season. I was excited to watch last night because that was the first >.500 opponent in a while that had a passing resemblance to their full roster, but then JI left after 20 seconds and Bane was hobbled too.
Don't think there's been an opponent that's above .500 that had even 4/5 starters this season.

We have our own Injuries to deal with. Its not like we played at full strength at any point in the season.

Bane was fine and played all game.
Isaac averages 2ppg.
We were also without RJ and Poeltl.
Warriors had their regular starters, were above .500, and we beat them.

Jokic out 1 month.
Crazy that in their next 17 games, 13 are against the East. So teams in the East will likely get a few more wins vs the expected with a healthy Jokic.
So Raps HAVE to take care of business and beat the Nuggets then sit back and root for the Nuggets all Jan.

This will give everyone including the Raptors a false sense of security come playoff time....It took an all time performance from Barnes to beat a slumping Warriors team in OT, And took a unreal bench performance to beat a franzless/Suggsless Magic by 1 point...
I would have more confidence if the things we seen (Barnes performance) (Bench perfomance) were a consistant thing we have seen all year but that has not been the case at all....And playing injured teams is part of the game but come playoffs if teams are healthy we will see a whole different level of basketball that the fans/players have yet to see and might be humbling...

We're missing core pieces. The starting center and starting SG are out. They have replacements ready to go for their missing guys, we don't. Franz's look can be eaten up by Bachero who practically plays the same position with the same role, same goes for Black and Suggs.

Slumping Warriors team that won 3 in a row and had 2 days off?
And we were on a B2B after playing an OT game missing RJ and Jak if we want to use excuses.
If you're refusing to give credit for these wins over "injured" teams, then other teams shouldn't get much credit for beating us either.
What does false sense of security even mean? I don't think anyone expects this team to cakewalk over anyone in the playoffs even if fully healthy.

Hope JV gives us at least a few pumpfakes and JV summer three but ultimately Raptors win.

I never said i didn't give them credit i said it took anomaly peromances from Barnes, And our bench Players (Shead, Dick, Walter) To just beat the Magic by 1 point & Warriors in OT....I don't think thats a hot take or anything unless you believe these performances will be the norm as the season continues to go on?....
And i said playing injured teams is apart of the game...But also it is true that if teams are fully healthy playing us in the playoffs i think our chances at winning a 7 games series against the majority of the East Will be a tough ask unless we get consistant performances from the Bench/Starters....

Good teams are supposed to find different ways to win.
Based on what exactly? It's a bit odd that you're downplaying this team at full healthy while saying other teams at full health would be much better when our results with a fully healthy Jak and RJ have been really good.
