Mamu needs some recognition too and his contributions shouldn't be taken for granted. He's been rock solid for this team through highs and lows.

IQ was drunk or something. He had one "floater" that went 100mph off the backboard.

He was also getting blown by constantly on defense.

I have come to the conclusion that Quick is Malik Monk Light without the athleticism . He makes bad reads, not consistent with the ball, lost on Dand just bad PG

I thought he would progress to be decent with the ball and not make turnovers but I think he doesn’t process the game well

If we can move his contract for a useful player we have to do it
RJ can play but we need a true PG and another solid big
Roll the Dice on Quick for Ball or if Cleveland prefers a shooter beside Mitchell are they will to switch for garland ?

wouldnt surprise me if the illness that CMB/Barnes had is spreading to rest of the team too.

Could he be our Garbajosa? The one that played to his full potential and won of course without injuries.

He's just been so steady and reliable, it's just so easy to talk about our starters and our younger guys and forget about him. One of our best FA signings in recent memory.

IQ looking more and more like a 6th man every day.

I would be interested in a trade Sugg for IQ; then with either Shead or Jalen as the starter.
IQ will not accept a 6th man role here, he cant. However if traded to ORL and with Black on the rise..He might have to accept that role on another team.

Our PG needs to be able to defend the POA at a high-level.

Some recency bias going on here. IQ is sporting a 3.5 AST/TO ratio (which is just outside the top 10 among qualified players) and a 28 AST% which is pretty much right in line with guys like Murray, Brunson, Fox, Maxey, etc. He is not a bad PG by any means. Pretty average when it comes to playmaking and defence, but he has a lot more potential scoring the ball that we just haven’t maximized because we’ve been asking him to run the offence a bit more frequently. Ideally, he’s a 20/5/5 kind of guy that takes 8-10 threes per game while being a decent defender.

18/8/3 per36 while sporting a 64 TS% and being pretty solid defensively. He has had about 4 or 5 bad games with at least as many great games while the remaining ~20 have been good. Just very solid overall and we couldn’t ask for anything more than he has given us thus far.

IQ was awful this game but we don't beat GS without him. At least Darko recognized he should sit.

Well Poeltl played great for us when he was healthy. He had a couple of great games during our win streak and was a major part of it. He's injured now and looks like it'll be a lingering injury so he may truly be done. I won't pass any judgements on him. IQ just had 27 points the other night, he's a good player but really he's an SG and should be a 4th option offensively on a good team. I don't feel Sabonis would provide a better output than both those guys combined.

Interesting concept. Of course we can't trade Poeltl until January, but if we could...

We still couldn't just do IQ and Poeltl for Sabonis as the salaries don't work.

What we could do right now is IQ and RJ for Sabonis and Monk. That works in the trade checker.

FWIW, just the O numbers for the following players to consider:
Poeltl 9.7 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.1 apg
RJ 18.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 3.8 apg
IQ 16.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 6.4 apg
Sabonis 17.2 ppg, 12.3 rpg, 3.7 apg
Monk 12.1 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 2.3 apg

29.3 14.3 6.0 for Sabonis and Monk combined
35.0 9.2 10.2 for RJ and IQ combined

Obviously I don't think the fit is good for either team. We don't want Monk's bad salary, Sabonis would be a good enough Poeltl replacement, but we'd still have to move Poeltl, is Shead a starter quality PG yet? We don't have a backup PG. Sabonis is out another 4-5 weeks with his knee problem. Etc.

But... it does make me wonder ... who says No?

Worst IQ game yet… his confidence is shot and his defense is atrocious. At least BI was working hard on D in the fourth

CMB somehow our best player with only 3 points. Such a difference maker not just rebounding and defense but also working Carter who was destroying us in the P&Pop into foul trouble with excellent positionin

Shead needs to start and bring Quickley off the bench as super sub

Sure the ratio seems fine. Considering he is a primary PG and not our primary scorer it’s a different lense. He is 4 or 3 option depending on RJ He hasnt demonstrated ability to create for himself or others as option 1 He rarely breaks the D down for wide open looks or passes that break the D quickly before they are set. Shead does this much better
His Defemce is horrendous
The guys you are comparing him to are primary scorers; Murray, Brunson, Maxey contribute to scoring much higher rate
Fox breaks the D with his speed, I don’t think he is great but he has strengths we could use

It would be almost impossible to trade IQ for Garland, without both teams making other trades first.

You could trade IQ and Agbaji for Ball right now, financially it works, but why would Charlotte want to make that trade?
