Nuggets without Jokic are basically the Wizards. Should be an easy W, but we all know what happened the last time we played the Wizarda.

For some reason people think we are the ONLY team facing teams with injuries or crappy teams.
NYK have 8 of their wins coming against Brooklyn, Washington, Indiana, Charlotte and New Orleans. Tack on another 2 wins against the Herro-less Heat (as if he really matters lol, but for some reason it's an excuse when we beat them).
DET has 8 wins that have come against the bottom 6 teams in the league. Tack on another 2 wins against MIL that were without Giannis.
Not trying to compare us against those 2 teams, there is no comparison. My only point is that there are a ton of teams with significant injuries right now. We are not the only team playing them.
Last year the Knicks' record against teams above .500 was abysmal (12-19). This year they have done much better in that regard. There are levels to this. We are still at the level "will usually beat lesser teams, will get smoked against the really good teams, and toss in the occasional stinker against a bottom feeder". We are still winning more than anyone thought we would.
Thank you! I’ve been saying this. It’s only ever a problem or an asterisks win when Raptors beat bad teams or injured teams, as if we are the only team in the league playing and beating those same teams lol. People forget, to be a playoff team you have to beat the bad teams and win a few games against teams on your level. You don’t have to consistently be able to be the elite teams in the league to make the playoffs. Our expectations and goal for this season is the playoffs, not a championship. This is also our first year trying to win in like 2-3 years. We are not going to go from lottery team to contender. I don’t know why people place contender expectations on this team. We are already winning more than anyone expected, enjoy the ride. If you can’t enjoy the wins and of course can’t enjoy the losses then how does one even enjoy the team they’re supposed to be a fan of? I don’t get it. People just want to be miserable and complain to complain

Tor_Raps wrote:Raptors are only favored by 6.5 today. The spread seems super low considering Denver is missing 4 starters. Heck, if they were only missing Jokic, id expect this type of spread.
It actually feels the opposite to me. If Jokic were playing, Nuggets would have likely been favour by 3 or 4 points even missing the other guys. Jokic injury has swung the spread by 10.5 points which seems excessive especially for the first game he is out. Typically that is the game that the shorthanded team puts in the inspirational performance. Add in, Raps are on their 3 game in 4 nights and I think the game should be even.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

There are no excuses here. Denver is missing 4 starters including best player in the league. You must win.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Expecting a win here, would be disappointed with a loss tbh.

Losing this would be worse than that celtics loss.

21-14 to end the year we’re back
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars
Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid
There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Typical trap game. Raps better come out with some energy instead of playing down to their competition

Great comeback wins in the last two games but it's hard to pull off those type of wins all the time. Got to have a good start and build a lead early.

Yes, just enjoy the ride. The Raps got lucky with the BI deal. He has worked out perfectly for the team, considering what they traded for him.
For those posters who are championship or bust, consider this - like 2/3rds of the teams in the NBA have one championship or none. Very few teams actually win the chip in the NBA. It was almost a miracle the Raps won one. So if you are hanging your hopes on that, you are going to be disappointed almost 100% of the time. In which case, why follow the league?

Legit injury to Jokic (not load management/rest), but still a disappointment to the large number of Serbian fans who will be there. Chance to see Death, Taxes and Val from three.
This is a great opportunity for the Raptors to steal one. If they can win this game it will be an impressive W.
Jokic makes me realize that my love for the game is different from most ppl. Most of my friends think he is the most boring superstar to watch. Man.....he is my FAVORITE player to watch. Mostly because of his passing and processing. He's also extremely likeable for my sensibilities. I think he is truly hilarious. Such a unique character. Ant Edwards is also really likeable and hilarious imo but for different reasons.
I think most fans love the game for the athleticism which explains why Jokic's promotion of the game is so far below his competence/ability.
Man......i HATE luka and find him pretty much the exact opposite of likeable, opposite of Joker. But i guess it's all subjective.
