i think this is the last year they deliberately tank. their pick has top 8 protection or it goes to okc and this is the last year it can convey. that’s what i gathered listening to vecenie’s podcast anyway. so yeah i’d rather see utah rack up L’s than hand the thunder a lotto pick.

The problem is I think they are actually trying to win this year. The second problem is their team still stinks, meaning it hasn’t acquired any top talent in their 4 year rebuild.

I’m sure they’ll pivot to a tank soon but future isn’t looking bright.

Are you seriously questioning whether or not they rebuilt?

They gutted their team man. They had no one left. You think Ainge was trying to win with Jordan Clarkson, Sexton and Markkanen? lol.

They won 37 games in the 2022-2023 season lmao. They had a better net rating than us when we had FVV, Siakam, Scottie, Poeltl and OG. WHILE being in the west where it's significantly harder to win compared to us in the east.

They won 31 games in 2023-2024. They won more games than us DESPITE Scottie having an all star year and having OG and Siakam for the first 30 games.

Last year was the first time they actually tried to lose every game and this season they're already at 12 wins and it isn't even 2026 yet.

That's not a franchise trying their hardest to win the lottery the last 4 years lmao.

My guy ducked.

They’ve actually had a lot of picks. They’ve just whiffed badly on many of them. Hendricks, Collier, Williams. It’s one thing to get picks but you have to cash in on them. Hendricks and Williams were top 10 picks.

Bailey is an interesting prospect. But overall, they’ve just done a horrible job at acquiring talent.

And they aren’t going to fool anyone with this current core of George and Markkanen. lol.

Utah didn’t bother to do a proper tear down until last season. Post Mitchell and Gobert trades they had the 9th pick (Hendricks) and 16th pick (George) in 2023. The 10th pick (Cody Williams) and 29th pick (Collier) in 2025.

Last year was the first time they picked in the top 5 and that was exactly number 5. Obviously Wemby is a franchise altering player but this Utah team looks a lot better with one of the Thompson twins, Sarr, Sheppard, Castle or Clingan along with Markkanen, George and Bailey. Ainge should have traded every vet in the 2023 season but he overplayed his hand like always and a poor return for most of them

Miami slapping Detroit, Philly getting healthy again reasons why you gotta capitalize on free wins against a depleted Denver team

I just gave you the facts. You said he didn’t rebuild. He completely gutted his team. Experts predicted Utah would have a bottom 5 record after trading Mitchell, Gobert and Bogdanovich. They were a horrible basketball team. And unfortunately they still are due to some very poor selections in the draft.

You even said they rebuilt and gutted their team years ago. Now you’re changing your tune? Why am I not surprised? lol.

You said they’ve been trying their hardest to lost over the last 4 years.

I gave you proof that they clearly have been doing a bad job at that. You haven’t responded to it lol.

No, I said “Is Utah going to be bad forever? Year 4 of this rebuild and still got a horrible team. lol.”

Of course they’ve done a bad job at building their team, that’s why I made that comment. They absolutely stink. They’ve drafted poorly and wasted away many of their picks instead of going out and acquiring good players.

You said they didn’t rebuild. That is false. You have even said they gutted their team in the past and now you’re moving the goal posts. Their team was atrocious after trading away Gobert and Mitchell. The fact they won more games than they wanted to just shows you it’s not always easy to lose. That team was absolutely terrible.

They’ve also missed on lots of talent too by drafting guys like Hendricks and Cody. We will see how Bailey works out for them as well.

Check out the predictions for the 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. Jazz were at or near the bottom in every season.

No you didn’t. You said they’ve been trying their best to lose. I showed you evidence that they haven’t.

Atleast we both agree that they’ve been utterly incompetent in this half ass rebuild.

Compared to his peak? Yeah lol. The greats past their prime are still better than 90% of the NBA.

If I'm not mistaken, Kawhi is eligible to sign an extension next week, which takes him through his age 37 season, and one can safely assume would be his last contract. He's done this before. He will sign that extension and then go back to missing a ton of games. This is exactly what happened before.

It’s the most efficient and one of the best years of his career. Also averaging 3 stocks per game.

Do you know what washed means?

Your Banchero post and now this. Man, come on. lol. You're not even trying anymore.

It’s no coincidence that this Clippers win streak comes at the same time that Zubac went down and Lopez was inserted into the starting lineup. Just goes to show you how much a stretch 5 opens things up in the NBA (earth to Bobby!)

One of the funnest players to watch when he is on his game.....Them injuries really ruined greatness....I also don't know if he is as motivated to be great as he once was....He seems like a nonchalant go with the wind type of guys...Also not sure if sometimes hes capable of playing but mails it in for an easy bag....Because if he is capable of having a stretch of games like this he is prolly capable of playing more than he does...

How long is it gonna last? He had All-time great potential but they really need to manage him, but since they're out of contention they might just ride him until his knees gives up once again

If I was the clippers id trade him now while his value is high. Get some picks if possible

Return to Toronto Raptors
