legit all we need, we could make an ECF run with the core 3 + an allstar PG or C. Now i don't know what allstar C we could trade for... but a realistic option i see is Garland at PG. Can throw Lamelo in there as well - can turn him into a winning player, the talent can't be ignored

Great win for the boys tonight. Finally started well from the first quarter, but the fourth quarter defense is what I was most excited for. I will say, that I still believe that this team deserves a better PG than IQ. Give me Garland! If the Cavs bottom out before the deadline, they could look to spice things up. If that's the case, I hope Bobby would try to bring Garland into the fold.

That's my hope. You keep these 3 guys together & try to find a way to land a big fish at one of those two positions. It doesn't even have to be a true star. A vet tbat is a competent two way player (bordeline allstar).

Indeed, salary doesn't work for having 3 near-max (25% of salary) with another high salary (20% of salary), particularly in a year or two when Barrett needs to re-new his contract.

Filling the PG and C for each 15% of salary would be the goal.

Yah. I think you're gonna need at least one guy in your starting lineup to 20 or less or else there's no money for the bench.

Man BI just keeps getting better. Scotty should be thanking the FO for that trade every day because his stock would be taking a huge hit right now if we didn't have him.

That trade was absolutely necessary.

There's a lot of promising options who could be available for the MLE this off-season too. Sexton, Middleton, McCollum, Anfernee Simons and Cam Thomas all are probably going to hit the market.

Between the draft and FA I think we'll be able to fill the back-up C position and get a scoring guard/6th man pretty comfortably

Those 4 losses against the Nets, Wizards, G-League Nuggets, and G-League Celtics sting man.

Those were 4 games we shoulda won.

We've had some really good wins in recent weeks but have dropped the games we were supposed to win.

And that’s not including the possibility of trades this season.

Injuries tho. Still no Jak. No RJ vs. Celtics. Nuggets are championship calibre and they had JV for most of the game. Same with Boston. They are missing Tatum but are championship calibre with him. I don’t remember the Washington game other than feeling that was what happens when you don’t play with effort. I’ll give you that one for sure.

As tough as it is for me to say, I vote BPA so let’s see what happens. We will have an improved CMB next season too.

They've clearly found something good with this Ingram/Barnes/Barrett grouping and it's clear how important RJ is to the alchemy of this team. I think that's clearly someone they need to be locking up long-term and the FO's next roster-building goal should be figuring out who to really surround them with going forward as they seek to take the next step to real contendership.

I know people might hate it, but if the Bucks and Giannis get a divorce then Turner would still potentially be a very good complementary piece as a rim defending/stretch big but making that work salary wise is pretty much impossible unless we're sending someone important out. And as far IQ goes, it's frustrating because he should be taking better advantage of this situation as the 4th option. All he has to do is hit his 3s. That they're still winning despite Quick not being at his best is a good sign though.

And while I don't know if Mamu will ultimately be the best or most ideal choice as the primary starting big but as an off-the-bench option he's been just about perfect. Shead's also been very good as the backup point. Everything else is in flux.

Right now they're looking like a 2nd round playoff team at best, which isn't terrible. But it's clear they'll have to figure out the big situation and improve on their guards if they wanna really compete with the best.

Nice to see a win. Box score watching, because I was in bed before this one even started, heh. Potent offense from our guys. Big game from Sandro off the bench. CMB with a start, even with the limited minutes.

Looked a lot like RJ, Scottie and BI were crushing it.

And what happened in the 4th? 11 points from the Hawks? Damn. It seems like everyone looked like ass on both teams in the 4th except for RJ.

Hell of a game from Mamu. The Denver game was easily his worst of the season, so it was good to see him bounce back. 13/12/8/1/3 and a team leading +27. Not sure how much of the post-game PCs you guys get watching on Sportsnet and TSN. Since I watch on LP, I get the entirety of them. Mamu really loves being on the Raptors. He has mentioned on more than one occasion how the Raps are the first team to really believe in him and he has also talked about the friendship he has formed with Shead. Not saying he is going to take a discount (nr should he) but I am pretty sure he feels strongly about staying in Toronto.

Not sure how anyone can not love BI or that trade. Dude walks in, takes over the alpha scoring duties, and is casually posting 22/6/4 with no ego, loves the city, and has stayed healthy. That middie is so automatic that I think we are starting to take it for granted.

It would be awesome to beat them a 4th time on Monday. Not throwing shade towards JJ because I would take him on the Raps in a heartbeat, but man, none of what he is doing is leading to winning more than they lose. They should be making a play for Giannis IMO. They have the assets to do so.

So obvious our ascension to top of the east starts after IQ and Poeltl are moved for upgrades.

Even a low level star guard like Reaves would be a MASSIVE upgrade over IQ.

Dick also got targeted damn near every play. He needs to be shipped out too

So many random undrafted and two way guys across the league that are easily better than Dick. Why is VJ Edgecombe a better shooter than him lmaoo

Perhaps a BATTLE tested player?

(See what I did there)

A wing off the bench that can consistently hit open 3s changes a lot for this team.

I’ve been a battle supporter since last season. That being said, it’s obvious that for whatever reason he’s lower on the depth chart than everyone else. So as much as we hoot and holler about playing him he’s not gonna play over dick and company. If that’s the case, Webster needs to make a move for a proven guy that’s objectively better than what we have now in the eyes of Darko.
