Those were 4 games we shoulda won.

We've had some really good wins in recent weeks but have dropped the games we were supposed to win.

Still a young team learning how to win and be consistent. It sucks but it's to be expected. Bobby needs to use this season to find out how they can make the next step and who should be part of it. They're on the right path but not quite there yet.

It's a pretty low bar tbh. Funny enough I actually kind of enjoy the celtics feed now that Scalabrine's replaced Heinsohn.

yeah he kind of always keeps it real, says what he thinks, not as big a homer as you'd imagine

i think their greatest strength is their enthusiasm. and their willingness to be goofy. i do appreciate that but having listened to a few thousand hours of it to me anyway it has worn pretty thin.

Lakers, and Cleveland announcer homerism is worse for sure

Looked a lot like RJ, Scottie and BI were crushing it.

And what happened in the 4th? 11 points from the Hawks? Damn. It seems like everyone looked like ass on both teams in the 4th except for RJ.

You may not believe it, but Gradey came in and played great defensively. They were going after him but he stood his ground on most possessions.

He grabbed 4 rebounds, a steal, a dunk and 2 made FT's during that 5 minute 15-3 run. He also helped on D which led to another turnover.

IQ's last 11 games he is shooting 34% overall and 29.4% from 3.

Just awful for someone expected to be our best shooter and 3pt threat.

4th quarter defensive is great. But Hawks could get to the basket easily in the first half, and gets good looks on the perimeter in the 3rd quarter.

They don’t have a real big. They’re apparently having trouble containing BI and RJ this year.

No doubt that we should be 25-11 at the very worst now; meaning 2nd seed in the East. Darko is being carried by the amount of talent. From one game to the other we just do not know what to expect under that coach.

I think Raps has potential to improve, our execution needs refinement. After we made the run with defensive in the 4th quarter, we got some careless passes. Teams like Nuggets and Celtics have better consistency.

I’m still expecting better offensive output from IQ.

Perhaps a BATTLE tested player?

(See what I did there)

A wing off the bench that can consistently hit open 3s changes a lot for this team.

But give him a chance to wear off the rust. He's not going to be great if he only plays once every 10 days.

i haven't listened to those guys in years for that reason. if you listen to other broadcasts you find that none of them talk about their breakfast and old hit songs from their youth and their socks and that time someone picked his nose like they do. can't take it.

great win tho

I’ve been saying this for years!

Why do we have announcers?

I’d like an option where it’s just bball without 2 guys chirpin the whole damn time. It’s insulting, infuriating and unnecessary.

I remember the early days where Leo and John Saunders were awesome and would talk and educate about the game.

Currently sitting 4th. We’d probably play either Philly or Cleveland hopefully with home court. Both of those teams have injury issues always so I think I like our chances we can get lucky. 2nd or 3rd is the best though as we’re likely not facing an offensive superstar with Orlando or Miami.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Filling the PG and C for each 15% of salary would be the goal.

Yah. I think you're gonna need at least one guy in your starting lineup to 20 or less or else there's no money for the bench.

I think we pay the tax if we think it makes us championship contenders.

We are already above the tax with the current lineup, how do you justify us being a championship contender now and add more to the tax?

Furthermore, three near-max plus a starter salary would be close to 100 percent, just 4 of your starters, are you not going to criticize the bench when they are mainly minimum? So we want to go 30 percent over the tax when other championship teams are way below that?

Lmao. People used to complain about Leo all the time for that “education.”

What could Darko do better other than not playing scrubs?

Darko has never demonstrated the ability to maximize the talent of any player.

someone posted this last year and to the extent of my limited knowledge it seems generally accurate to me (tho i think swirsk deserves better)

Yep. I’ve listened to nearly everyone.

I don’t want my hometown announcers to not be homers

I'm not so sure about that. The lineup construction is clearly flawed, they need a big C that does the dirty work and a PG that can organize the offense and go downhill. When they miss one of these elements or both (Poeltl injured and IQ struggling) they can lose to anyone.
