Sixers just lost to the Nuggets. Nuggets have been in every single game since Jokic went out. It won't last but they are competing and managing to stay afloat.

They are playing lots of East teams this month so we gotta hope they keep winning....at least against the teams right with us in the standings.

lol those Charlotte losses don't look quite as bad anymore. They're a respectable -1.8 in point differential and trending up. What's interesting about them is they have a similar set-up to us, no true #1 option but they have 4 guys right around 20 ppg which does make them a bit difficult to guard even if they have some guys that aren't that efficient in those roles. Kon is also really really good.

OG is putting up unacceptable numbers for a 40M player

Yes. Eveey once and a while he has a great game but that's a crazy overpay, imo

Based on what, though?
He's like a 15/6/2 player there for his defense. They have SEVEN double-digit scorers on the team, fronted by Jalen Brunson and KAT. And Mikal Bridges is himself capable of 20 ppg and only scoring 16 right now. Positive defensive numbers all around, 1.8 spg, 0.8 bpg...
What numbers are you looking for from OG?

His efficiency. It’s too low for someone who gets spoon fed high quality shots.
He’s gotta be better as a 40M player.

Our fanbase would hate him if we kept him. Great supporting player but if we kept him and paid him that much, he would be expected to produce at a level he couldn’t reach.

49% of his shots are 3s, and he's only hitting 34.7% there at the moment, sure. He's a career 37.4% shooter from 3, and we're really talking about a shooting slump in December and January (14 games, thus far).
When your efficiency is directly tied to your 3pt volume to that extent, it will ebb and flow pretty significantly inside a season, so it's not REALLY something on which one should be focusing game-to-game for him. He's a 1.23 PPP player in transition, shooting 59.4% FG on those 2.8 FGA/g and 65.6% eFG.
He's fine.

He’s gotta be better or as good as he was last year if they want to reach their goals.

Again, though, he is a player type exceptionally prone to variance. So evaluating him befote he has even played half a season's worth of games makes little sense. They dont need him to score more on average, and like three games of hot shooting from 3 will meaningfully change his average and efficiency.

It's not much of a difference from last year, he's just playing less mins and the 3 ball isn't dropping right now.

Re: Official NBA General Discussion 2025-26 V2.0
Like I said even when they were losing this will likely be the 6th-th seed baring Joel getting healthier. Barnes/CMB duo is a fun duo on defense. RJ being another above average ball handler has helped on offense.
random but with how well Barnes forces transition, I would have loved to see him pair with KD. Ingram been decent but KD shot making and gravity is still so crazy that it takes this to 10 offense just swapping them.

Reaching their goals will require one of Brunson or KAT to be traded for someone who can play defense in the playoffs so that both players can actually stay on the floor at the same time. The only way OG factors into that is if they need his salary for matching purposes.

Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.
