I'm guessing the coaching staff does not like what they see from Bamba in practices as well. That's why they're reluctant to give him NBA minutes.

I saw him cracking jokes with Gradey on the bench last night & barely paying attention to his teammates that were coming off the floor. He definitely wasn't "locked in". I have seen several incidents like this......just watching TV. All of the 905 guys that are there for the game make sure they are paying attention & bringing energy from the bench. That's the expectation when you are an end of the bench player.

He certainly doesn't seem like a student of the game or a guy that takes things very seriously. He just doesn't look like he "wants it" bad enough.

I am sure Darko will have a chat with him. If he doesn't respond, he will be gone.

Yeah, I heard from several sources that he was absolutely destroying everyone in practice. They are afraid that he will release his inner Bamba Beast if they play him too many minutes.

Keeping things hush hush for now. Bamba loves Darko. He would rather play out 10 day contracts with the Raptors for the rest of the season than sign with OKC for the max.

The time Bamba was on the team counts against the tax too, they just didn’t want to commit an additional 140k for a 10 day now that Yak looks to be close to returning. But they did raise their tax bill from 770k to 900k approximately with Bamba.

Maybe it was a "just in case" we had further injuries to Mamu or CMB...or if Yak was going to be out even longer. So instead of having no "break glass in case of emergency", we had one just in case.
