lol essentially turning Jordan Poole into Trae Young is pretty good

I thought CJ would get bought out for sure, took a perfect circumstance like this for him to get moved.

Trae always been overrated

Overrated sure but even then, he got traded for nothing. Hes still a good player.

Is he? As you said, he got traded for nothing. And the Hawks did it willingly a month before the trade deadline.

why do it now, the wiz had 80 mil of cap space, could have just signed him in off season (cost if really only kispert but still)

they owe a top 8 protected pick to nyk, currently sitting 4th, they will do the tank/rest players rest of the way so why do the trade now

Trae’s value is extremely low and is worth very little. He just simply isn’t a winning player and will command a lot of money.

Even I thought he would go for more than this.

He wasn’t traded for CJ. He was traded for Kispert and getting off $49m next season.

CJ to Trae is as BI to Bruce

Some of these stat padders are overrated. Will he ever adjust his game? Probably not.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Yes he is. People laughed at us when we got BI. I will laugh at the folks thinking this is anything but a home run for the Wizards.

Maybe they do a follow up trade? CJ is expiring and playing well and Kispert is on a decent contract for a few years. And no one seemed to want to pay Trae. I kinda like it.

People out here offering Poeltl and IQ smh...

Poeltl is likely a negative asset if his back issues don't get fixed. His extension puts him at 27 M/year to 2029-2030. He should take all the time he needs to get to 100%, including time off for preventative treatment, improving core strength, etc.

that's a cheap trade for Wizards....I think Raptors equivalent would be IQ/Dick/Ochai

I do agree, it’s good for the Wizards because they gave up absolutely nothing.

Imagine if we gave up IQ and Poeltl which is what you wanted.

I wonder if Atlanta would move Kispert for Dick. We'd have to throw in Ochai to match salaries though.

Treadmill move for Washington, they will be terrible for a while. Terrible trade for Hawks, holding on to Trae for so long, should have traded him earlier or waited until next year and trade him as an expiring and they would have got more

it seems like Trae has been hobbled this season. He'll probably get LOTS of rest lol

Thank **** god now all the Trae to Toronto deals can be put to bed. Trae was a awful fit here. Atlanta is up there with Sacramento as the worst run franchise

Both teams have terrible management. Wizards going to love Trae’s defence lol

CJ to Trae is as BI to Bruce

Agreed, although CJ is playing well and can help the Hawks this season or perhaps be involved in a bigger deal like AD.

Ingram?

Bro, we at least gave away a 1st round pick.

That pick was projected in the late 20s and protected top 4, it didn't have much value. Probably still worth more than Kispert, but not by a whole lot.
