Its a reference. The bulls announcer already did the same earlier this year.

Always been good at those. BI wasnt on the floor to default to.

I’m good with going to IQ in late game situations whenever we need a three. It seems like he’s always able to at least get a good look

Quickly raising his value is excellent news and improves the chances of getting a good return in any trade.

Yes but also a good chance to find out BI's impact on the team. We, and by that I mean some people who don't know basketball, learned about RJ's impact through his absence.

We already know from last year, and our record will probably be worse than without Barrett, as without a closer we can only keep the game close.

Nope, we don't. Last year, this team barely played together and we have a couple different bench pieces as well.

The thing is when Ingram comes back, darko shouldn’t be afraid to go to someone other than Ingram on those final shot attempts.

Ya keep the opponent guessing. I liked the RJ decoy, although perhaps if they miss his coverage he gets the pass for a drive. Mamu didn't rush it, perfect execution.

Its because of his 35 million salary.

If he was at 18 million he'd be getting the OG level worship here.

I can't even say he's overpaid. Freddie got 40 ish millon.
Derrick White gets less but people would be even more frustrated with him and his cold shooting nights.

He just may take a whole year to get better as a PG full time. We made it work with Lowry too no way we can't with Quickley who is much more coachable then Lowry was before his blow up.

Quickly ranks 20th in AAV amongst players listed as PG. The argument of his pay still doesn't hold.

Assuming you're looking at the Spotrac list, they have two contracts for Curry, SGA, Fox & Doncic in there so he's actually 16th in AAV for PGs, but the argument still hold.

IQ is being paid like an average starting PG, and playing like an average starting PG. His value will only go up as he gets deeper into the length of the contract, and he's so incredibly far away from being a 'negative asset' or 'worst contract in the league' that I can't believe how often it comes up.

fair point. And I also forgot the fact this his AAV doesn't go up as contract progresses, so yes the contract will indeed age well.
