I keep belaboring this point here, but a huge reason why Bridges had added value - still far overvalued for an "all star" caliber player - was his perceived bargain contract for multiple years. This allowed any team the flexibility to work below the tax or add additional talent. The contracts matter almost as much as the players
You could easily make a case to me now that Deni Avdija has a lot more trade value than even an MVP in Giannis solely because he's got 2 more years on a bargain contract like Bridges did.
