Ja is the better player. Worst case, he becomes a valuable expiring in 2027–28. Moving Quickley for Ja also clears Quickley’s contract one year sooner.

Grizz apparently want to build around him. He's basically their Scottie.

If we can get rid of IQ's contract plus bench pieces without giving up a 1st rounder, that will be an easy YES from me.

At least lately we are doing it for the Ingram's of the world. Still cant comprehend how we threw them away for the Poeltl's/Thad's and to a lesser extent Ochai's of the world lol.

Same. While I am worried about his injuries and BS off the court, I do think his production is product of the environment and system he's in now post-Jenkins. When he's right, he's still one of the best PGs in the league, warts and all.

Worst case scenario in an IQ + filler deal is you get off the contract one year earlier. But I think we have the chemistry to absorb whatever he's got going on and improve it.

Worst case, roi rehab their value and flip for picks or prospects.

Otherwise what’s the plan? Barnes and Ingram aren’t leading this team to a ring. People here scoffed at Durant, Donovan Mitchell, every star player who was available as if we are contenders.
Not all reclamation projects are equal.

Some are worth taking on. Some are clearly not worth taking on.

I used to say that if you got a cosign from Darko who has history with Ja, only then would i even consider it.

But now even with a darko cosign im saying stay far away. He's damaged goods.

Wait for the lamelos and garlands to be available closer to the deadline.

I could get behind a Morant trade if Jak is going the other way.

I haven't been so worried about a raps contract ever. We pay a backup C starter salary, and now he has what looks like cronic back issues...His extension is just kicking in? I do not want to watch anymore of this guy.

Why would we even talk to memphis without Jak being the centerpiece going back. If I'm taking on an injury prone gunman, you can take back some Edey insurance so JJJ never has to play C with his soft ass. We will throw in all of the icy hot patches we have in stock, and Ochai.

Ja has played in 7 of the last 26 games for his team.

Darko worked well with him
Send out RJ and play him with IQ
It's the only way we do this where we don't sacrifice a ton of 3 point shooting (better to go from RJ to Ja, than IQ to To Ja)

Totally disagree. No way I want to see two undersize skinnyazz guards. Quick is too streaky anyhow. Better to hold off and find another offball shooting threat. Replace his shooting down the road.

The whole idea is to get off the Quickley contract

RJ and Ja will also get in each other's way, as they both attack the basket.

Better Ja the main penetrator,
Brandon moving from mid range, to three point line, attacking the seams when it works,
Scottie diving and finding posts up in the flow,
Yak creating space for all and rolling,
quick the 3 point release valve.

What's your plan?

Ja and Edey for IQ and Jak works in the trade machine. Get it done Bobby.
