Forget Ja and go for JJJ. Basic framework would need some tweaking, possibly 4th team, but this works with the cap as soon as JJJ is trade eligible (I think tomorrow).

Make a Bobby statue if he can add JJJ to this team!

We would really become a defensive powerhouse. Holy imagine a death lineup of Shead, Barnes, Ingram, CMB, and JJJ.

If Shead is struggling with the matchup, you put Martin in there.

I maintain that Jak and Scottie for Giannis and Turner is the best deal they could get and makes us a legit contender.

Not interested in Turner otherwise.

I mean he is on a solid deal, and if one of the few stretch C's out there. And as long as we have Scottie, we will be looking for a stretch C.

Furthermore, with SCMB now, the only feasible way for them to play together is at the 4/5 spots, or at the 3/4 with a stretchy C.

I am not even a huge Turner fan, but depending what the price is, that could be interesting. Poeltl + Agbaji for example gets the right salary. Then it just is pick comp you'd need to discuss.

Lol we also would be the worst shooting team in the league. We already are. We would just get worse.

I like JJJ as a player. The only thing I don't like is why is he such a poor rebounder (avg 6.6 boards per 36). He's the same level of rebounder that BI is (6.5 per 46). Our best rebounder would become Scottie, who's 56th in the league amongst qualified players. Maybe we could get a backup big who's a stud rebounder.

Everything else about JJJ I love.

Dejonte Murray feels like a forgotten commodity with how long he's been out

Dejounte won’t be the same player this season, after a year off and such a major surgery.

I like him and Missi though, and we should consider a larger deal with them, that also include someone like Alvarado who can fill in until Dejounte can ramp up.

Pelicans definitely have extra pieces they don’t need, that would be useful to Raps:

Point Guards (Dejounte, Alvarado)
Wing shooter (Saddiq)
Bigs (Missi, Looney)

These should all be on trade block, if you set aside the core 6-7 guys on their roster.

Quick looked pretty comfy in the bench last night with supposed back spasms. … same thing they list Temple out with. Could they be sitting him to ensure he stays healthy enough to trade?

Dude can't rebound at all and would effectively be putting Barnes at C (where he doesn't prefer)

Might be an even worse contract than IQ's if he's washed after so long being out. We're already a bad shooting team and he wasn't that great of a shooter even pre-injury. Ideally we trade IQ for an upgrade at guard that can actually play PG and shoot better than 34% from 3

If we really wanted to we could probably put together a super-ish team.

IQ + first + Dick for Morant
Poeltl + RJ + first swap + Agbaji for Davis.

CMB
Davis
Barnes
Ingram / Walter
Morant / Shead

When Davis is out slide in Shead or Walter.

We could get 4 years of contention out of that. group. If healthy that roster probably gets us to the ECF or Finals if they work well.

Are you trying to assemble the All-Injured team?

Ingram, Davis and Morant will compete for load management, and make the health staff quit.

But we will be great for the 41 games where they are all playing.

So the Raptors should target
JJJ
Davis
Day Ron Sharpe

One of these things is not like the other...

Ownership won't let the front office tank so they are going to put up a perpetual injured roster to stealth tank? /sarcasm

I doubt Mavs are trading AD for a swap, especially if they have to eat Poeltl. They'd probably take him to the offseason if thats the best they can get for him.

I dont want AD, and i'd pay that price, so i know its not happening

Screw trading for street clothes AD or fake gangster Ja. Go for a player that would actually move the needle and isn’t a head case.

Call up pelicans and offer 3 1sts for Trey Murphy. He’s a younger more athletic Derrick white, and makes our team very deadly.

Trey would right away be this team’s 2nd option behind Ingram, allowing Barnes to use more energy on the defensive end.
