I don't want to touch either... And only cool with Bobby acquiring AD if he has a handshake follow up deal with Pelinka to trade him, Dick & a 1st to LA for Luka... AD is overpaid glass at this point in his career.

I would think the Mavericks find expiring salary more appealing than long-term contracts. CJ Mcollum gives Atlanta the upper hand.

It's a shame none of our expiring salary ever quite aligned with the timeline of the new CBA.

I'd be curiously excited. It's a very high-risk/high-reward approach.

Similar to the BI trade, his trade value is near zero. We don’t need to dismantle our starting lineup for him.

The Hawks can't trade CJ, unless he's the only out going player in a deal.

We don't have a choice - we have to match salaries. Just leave any first round picks out and I am good.

Still, Atlanta is probably going to get him with their expiring contracts unless Dallas really likes our guys.

Who is the better target between Davis and Morant?

Passes the trade checker.

Toronto trades away Quickley, Barrett, Dick, Abaji, Poetle and Temple and get back Morant and AD.

Ja/Shead
Walker/Martin/Lawson
Ingram/Battle/
Barnes/CMB/Mogbo
Davis/Mamu

That's when you fill in whatever shows up on the waiver scrap pile.

Might even add Lowry just for fun.

Getting both AD and Ja would be nuts. If Ja plays to his peak, you get 80 percent of bubble AD, and they both stay healthy... That's probably the best team in the east? Us and NY they would be saying are the super teams.

Obviously them both staying healthy seems unlikely. Still an interesting thought. You can't really deny that it would be a massive talent upgrade.

We'd need more shooting for sure.

Exactly! Why the hell not?

It would generate buzz. The idea of Ja/Ingram/Barnes/AD all on the same team. The Raptors would be like the 2021 Nets. An awesome team in theory if all the star players could be healthy all at once.

As long as there's a chance they could all be available for a postseason run...

Between Ja / BI / AD we might see them play 5 games together.

Not like we got anything to lose. Its why im for the Ja trade because he has much higher upside, same age as IQ and a shorter contract.

AD trade, not so much even if hes a much better player. The age and injury concerns are too much.

Battle would be moved up the rotation to this boards delight, but yea that team on paper isn't the best shooting wise. At least AD can stretch it out.

Don't know why people would be excited about Anthony Davis who barely plays. Considering BI's injury history too we would end up playing a tiny lineup while these two guys are inevitably out. We also would have no depth left. It feels like a tanking move.
