If it's IQ & Ochai for Ja, I could be talked into it but definitely no picks or quality young players - It's been reported that Memphis wants picks and young talent and that's a non-starter for me. And no deal I think is best.

Everyone hating the idea of acquiring AD cause they think we are giving up too much.

If it is IQ and Jak plus a first that is honestly not a bad deal. People are underestimating how impactful AD can be. I know people will say he constantly gets injured and that’s what people were saying about BI as well and wanted Bobby fired.

People honestly aren’t seeing how much adding an AD improves everyone else.

I’m not nuts about including RJ, but I am for acquiring a tier one two way player even though there are injury risks.

I agree with you in principle.

The reason why you can get that talent for that cost is because of the injuries.

When comparing to BI, BI was also 5 years younger and $15m less salary and 2/3 of it in 2 years.

If the injuries weren't an issue, it is a no brainer. But if the injuries aren't an issue you don't get him for that price. Will be interesting to see what happens. If I had a crystal ball and knew you'd get him for 60 games and playoffs, I'd do it.

I want nothing to do with AD... However I presume Dallas might consider an offer including 2 of IQ, RJ, Poeltl for the following reasons:

- younger players
- less injury prone over their careers
- not earning $60M for the next 2 seasons after this one.

To sum up, Dallas would be getting 2 younger players, who are less injury prone and combined earn what Davis is making.

I hope it isn't the case and we're just being opportunistic and trying to buy low, but I do wonder if there is a bit of Ishbia-like stuff going on behind the scenes where we are being directed to make a splash for a name or two. I guess we'll see in the futures that are coughed up in a trade.

This is the weakest east we’ve seen in years, almost as bad as the Lebron Cavs east. A “healthy” AD would easily make us the best team in the east.

Taking our time and wanting to see how our team performs when everyone is healthy just doesn’t really matter that much to Bobby because there’s a clear ceiling with our current roster.

This team hasn’t been fully healthy all season but no one has structural issues. We don’t have years of data with the current group to even make informed decisions. The idea that they’re going to trade any big pieces before at least seeing this season play out is ridiculous. It’s not happening regardless of how much some may want it to happen.

We’re literally trading for the name at this point. Trading for Anthony Davis is like trading for a contract that never plays, and Morant is a head case with plummeting production. Not to mention he’s also injury prone and averages like 50 games a season.

Only way I want AD is if we can dump that Poetl albatross contract off in exchange. Id throw in Agbaji and Gradey because they suck but no RJ, no 1sts (protected or otherwise), and I'd be hesitant to even include IQ, despite his enormous contract he's at least useful

Especially when (this is my sense of things, not definitive) the team is literally holding him out until he’s fully healed. They are being extremely cautious with his injury. My feeling is if this were the playoffs he’d probably play.
