So I think it's going to be Simons, Scheierman, Tillman, Boucher, and the picks for JJJ.

I do not believe that the Celtics will go after JJJ. But if they do, they would keep the roster in the 1st apron for 25-26 and use the KP TPE to get another quality wing with some size.

Yes, Cs would still be in the 1st apron for 2025-26 if they traded for JJJ now.

Cs are fine with Walsh, Hugo, and Mynot.

So just use the picks as incentive for a JJJ trade.

Simons, Scheierman, Tillman, and Boucher for JJJ works, salary-wise.

That way the Cs get to keep Walsh, Hugo, and Mynot.

But MEM has to waive 3 players and Celtics need to add 3 players, so there is still potential salary issue.

Works for Celtics if Aldama is added with the 22M TPE and Pippen with the 4M TPE 8-) Then Memphis just needs to waive one.

How many picks would that need to include?

Missi is not good, and that's why the center starved Pels would move a 2nd year center. No thanks.

IMO he's not. He just has really bad rebounding technique and fouls a lot. He's tough imo

I think those other 3 players would have to go to other teams.

A JJJ trade would most likely be a multi-team trade.

I'm also really not sure if this rumor is legit.

There's a higher chance the Cs keeping Simons than the Cs trading for JJJ.

So we'll see.

If only JJJ and Bam could merge into one and we could trade for him lol

The good stuff JJJ has (being 6'11" with like a 7'5" wingspan, shooting, rim protection, etc.) with Bam's toughness and attitude..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

JJJ is definitely miscast as a second star. He's a third guy for sure.

I'll be curious how truly interested Brad is in JJJ as he is such a bad passer. Coupled with how foul prone he is, seems to just be a low IQ player and not Brad's type.

If you are hearing about it ahead of time then it's very likely the Celtics have no interest. When does news get out ahead of time for the player that Brad Stevens actually trades for? Very rarely. Jrue Holiday is the only one that I can think of where the news came out early but in that case it was very obvious.

Celtics will probably do a trade like Chris Boucher or Xavier Tillman to Memphis for Jock Landale and call it a day. Memphis is one of Brad Stevens hot spots. Landale becomes the 3rd center.

I think Brad Stevens is going to go real cheap this year and target someone like Landale, Duop Reath, Jericho Sims, Precious Achiuwa etc.

Someone real cheap just for depth.

I'd like to see Stevens Trade for no one back.
We can Always bring up Amari & Harper, Jr.

Yeah. I tried to sneak that in there, for a 2nd.

Regardless of what Brad does on or before trade deadline, I think it's inevitable Amari will get an NBA contract from the Cs this season.

You think that we move up Ron Harper, Jr too?

There’s been an emphasis on rebounding this year too and JJJ is useless on the boards…Hugo has a better rebound rate than him

We should.

Cs really only have 3 guards on the roster.

I think Boucher and Tillman needs to be moved first.

Both Amari and Harper deserve to be with the big club, IMO.

KP was also not a good rebounder for his size.

I think what's appealing to Brad is the Cs can go double big with JJJ.

It would be like Al and Rob in that 2022 season with Udoka.

Then in crunch time you play JJJ at the 5 with JT, JB, White, and PP.

PP won't play in crunch time. He can be hunted on defense and can be shut down pretty easily on offense (done so many times by good teams)
To the point - I prefer Bam to JJJ

You'd think people would have figured that out by now. Every press conference Brad Stevens does is about how they look for guys that can fit around the Jays and maintaining flexibility to continue adding those guys in the future. Every transaction he makes backs that up. And people fall for the rumor that the Celtics are going to trade for a guy that doesn't fit the system, doesn't fit the culture, will wreck their finances and deplete their picks stash
