He's a game changer as a rookie playing out of position..

Outside of Barnes I really think he's going to be the other franchise player. So freaking incredibly high on him.

If he gains size or adds a inch or 2? damn..

His floor is an All-Defense player.
Truly a special player that will eventually put it all together offensively.

I think next year he can be a 15/8/6 guy with DPOY votes.

110%.
Possible it takes a couple years to get any real DPOY traction (Canada effect) but he would deserve it.

Well a thumb contusion is much better than a thumb sprain. He might be able to play vs the Warriors

lol top 10 defender floor is insane

He certainly has the ability to do it and maybe even is more likely than not to be that but there's no way that's his floor.

Contusion is worse than a sprain right? Ugh was hoping it was a sprain.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

He’s been having heavy tape around his thumb for like a month. Don’t think it’ll be 100% this season unless he takes like a week off. Hopefully he can take it easy during all star break.

Yeah plus it's negative, so basically a thumb bruise? Did I get that right.

Half the Raptors' team has something wrong with their thumbs. We're handsy and we spam the paint.

Yes this is not terrible news at all. This is best case scenario. The is no musculoskeletal damage (ligement or muscle tear). A contusion (bruise) is just minor blood vessel ruptures. At most 1-2 weeks.

Kid is already a game changing talent. Him and Barnes are going to be scary in the upcoming years.

Front office nailed it with this pick. His impact was felt last night, the defense fell apart without him last night. Before getting injured he had 11/7/5/0/3 in 25 minutes. He was going to have another monster game stat wise last night.

I can honestly see him averaging 16/8/6/1.5/1.5 as early as next season, while providing positional versatility, and being one of the better defenders in the NBA.

A week would do very little. I've had this injury and it is just manage it as best you can until the off-season. I think there is a chance he is back next game
