AD prolly Bobbys first trade target but Morant will be the consolation prize if he can't get the AD trade done.

I think we land one of them and i hope we do

Memphis is similar to us in that expiring contracts are less useful because we aren’t really free agent destinations. Young players and draft picks are more useful. Dallas on the other hand may value cap space more for AD.

IQ, Dick, Ochai for Morant, Landale is too perfect for us. Find ways to add shooting with a follow up trade but just the sheer talent upgrade makes this a no brainer.

So we're basically outbidding ourselves for Ja Morant

We will have to give up a FRP to move off Quickley in any deal i think....Teams will want a draft pick to take on that salary.

The bench would be Shead, Walter, Cmb, Mamu Landale....3/5 shoot well at least. 10 deep going into the playoffs.

That we have no interest in morant is no surprise.

Thank God.

His reading on the situation makes sense. Memphis will want to maximize their return for him and he also doesnt want to be the bad guy so it makes sense to play the nice guy role publicly.

Lets see the type of trade they can make because it seems crazy he would return much more than what Atlanta got for Trae, which was nada.

After IQs game today its back to IQ and one first for Ja.

Not a bad thing RJ is injured. More touches in the short term to boost IQs value. If he can push closer to 20 and 7 that will immediately optically just look better. People will start thinking the contract is not too bad.

Just think about Memphis management selling to their fans. Hey guys we got a young dynamic PG that can hit 3s averaging 20 and 7. We clear move on from Ja and his escapades. Memphis fans would buy it. We also get a 1st round pick in a deep draft. Not a hard narrative to pedal. So let's hope IQ has a monster 2 weeks. My view on him longer term still doesn't change. IQ was never a bad player, but he still has his ceiling.
