I mean, if you're looking at someone like Queta, I agree.

If we're back to talking about Yves Missi, though, it becomes less so. Frankly, I think we should have just kept Orlando Robinson. He might not be amazing, but he's at least not 6'7, and that has its value in small bursts and when we're injured.

Seriously - how many teams can lose their starting C and NOT see a significant drop in production?

None. We have been faced consistent issues with starters missing games, so our seasonal success is pretty impressive overall. At least to me.

But it wouldn't be hard for us to just KEEP one of these 10-days on the roster for the remainder of the season while we know that Yak is gonna be consistently missing games, you know? Robinson, Mo Bamba, whomever. Then we never have to see Mogbo play, ever again.

To be fair… is Robinson, Bamba, whoever, even better than Mogbo?

Different flavours of the same suck. At that point, I’d rather just go small lol

Might be good to just have a big body in reserve but overall it's questionable. Sarr up from the 905 might be at least worth a try.

I love the wrestling belts, OP.

Big win tonight for the Raps I hope.

Kings recently won four straight and the last meeting. Get it done!

Depends on what we're evaluating. They are definitely better rebounders. All guys who are limited in many ways, obviously. Not guys you want playing 15+ mpg.

There's always some bs that happens when we play in Sacramento so I'm not expecting the best unless the big 3 continue to shine

As someone who has been advocating for another C all year, this is as clear as I/we can make it.

It's about having options. Mamu has been a fantastic signing. But with Yak out and against bigger lineups, he can be overmatched inside. Barnes too. Like last night vs GSW, Barnes and Mamu have no issues. Vs certain other teams, they're struggle more inside.

And to help keep them healthy, having 1 more big body to bang against opponents bigs would help.

We have so many roster spots tied up into the guard position, removing 1 to add 1 more big just gives better balance and options when injuries occur. EXPECTING Yak to be healthy all season was unrealistic.

CMB hurt...we have Mamu to play small C.
If Mamu and CMB get hurt, Barnes can play small C.
But with Yak's hurt it means we CAN'T play big at C because we have no options. That puts us at a disadvantage of ONLY being able to play small. I want an option. Removing Ochai doesn't impact the SG depth at all with RJ, Walter, Dick, Battle, Martin still around. Extra mins for them is good. Having an extra big around could help us vs certain teams. Better than having 3 guards getting DNP'S/mop up minutes.

But let’s be honest, even if we had this magic big 3rd C, they weren’t playing because they aren’t better than what we got.

Like a bad C instead of Agbai doesn’t help us at all lol. This board just seems to ignore the benefits of going smaller, and only focus on the negatives. If we get a bigger **** 3rd C, there’s other negatives we seem to be ignoring.

A “good” C is fine. A 7 footer just for the sake of it makes no sense.

Hard to disagree. We have a couple guys who we could move to open the roster spots. We have a fair number of guards and forwards, and we COULD have one more center. Like, right at the moment if I'm not mistaken, we have 9 guards, 3 guys listed as SFs, then Mogbo, Barnes and CMB, Poeltl and Mamu.

We could definitely shuffle that up a little, I agree.

gotta look for teams cluttered with bigs..I would love to get Beringer (who's still a project) as Minny already has Gobert/Naz Reid, but he likely doesn't come cheap. Minny just lost 3 in a row..they could use some bench help

Nooo, where do you see that rumour?

Grange basically ruled him out for the West Coast trip.
And he's underdoing multiple evaluations and seeking multiple opinions on his thumb.
Had one in SF yday, is seeing another doctor today.

I'm thinking he might be done till the All-star break.

If he’s doing that many checks and getting that many opinions, it may be closer to end of season kind of thing

Shead playing against his 'former' team.

Masai really trade McDaniels for Shead, Martin, and a 2026 2nd round pick.

Insane fleece.

(McDaniels isn't even in the league anymore)

Grange saying its a day-to-day thing.
Guess the opinions were positive?

I still think he'll likely sit out till the All-Star break.
