Brayden Burries - Arizona

Post#1 » by moss_is_1 » Mon Jan 12, 2026 10:06 pm

No thread. What am I missing? He seems like someone that could rise a lot by the end of the season. Mocked last 1st, early 2nd right now.

What's the rundown on him? He's already a 20 year old freshman.

I like him a lot. Pass, dribble shoot and strong. Reminds me a little of Bane. Better athlete.

I have him in the mid to late teens now. He started really slow but seems to play better and better by the game. As far as the combo guards go, I'd take him over Maleek Thomas and I have him pretty even with Mikel Brown.

Back to back stinkers for Burries after he was really putting it together and tied his season high of 28.

Love his game. He’s making himself a lot of money tonight against BYU

Yeah Burries definitely has my attention now. Haven't paid any attention to him all season.

I love him. I think if you need someone to play the role of a complimentary guard who defends the hell put of the ball that he would be a great add in the teens.

PG version of Boozer. Just very mature and workmanlike. I've had him slotted after Philon and Brown but he's the next PG off the board. I know Brown hasn't looked great but I think he's got a game tailor made for the NBA using the PnR. He at least hustles on defense. Burries reminds me of Dennis Johnson. 6'4", nothing flashy but just knows how to ball and defend. I think Arizona is going to win it all. They match up well with everyone.
Foes..you DO realize I don't see your posts....right?

He's a lottery guy for me at this point.

4th in BPM for freshman after his slow start. Valuable guard archetype who can play on and off the ball and guard both guard spots while having the strength to guard further up the lineup in emergency switch situations.

He'd be an awesome fit alongside Cooper in Dallas.

What do you guys think about his defense? Some really solid possessions and some where his positioning was really off.

I really want him for the Wolves to play off of Ant. Hoping all these other guards come out to muck it up in the lotto/late 1st area.

Great draft for Minnesota to look for a PG to develop with Ant. Burries or Anderson would be very nice, or somebody else could fall.

The best Arizona freshman prospect and it’s not close.

Jalen Suggs at a discount. A great value pick.

I'm trying to figure out why Burries isn't considered a top 10 pick and i got nothing. I don't get it.

^I've seen him as high as 7 in at least one mock draft.

Shut up about him and let him fall to Charlotte please. He's one of the 12 best players in this class, easily.

I think Sextons quicker, and stockier. Burries is taller and seems like a better shooter at this stage.

Burries is a guy I’m unreasonably high on and won’t be surprised if he’s one of the 3 or 4 best players out of this draft.
