Call San Antonio and OKC and pit them against each other. They might not make a deal on their own, but if they know the other could add Giannis, they might be scared into making a credible offer.

Curious what you mean by this. I think most are operating under the assumption that, even though he won't say so publicly, Giannis wants to move on to a different situation. Do you mean we're being disloyal in not limiting ourselves to two teams?

Not so black and white for me. I can see them legitimately trying to rebuild a relationship with Giannis until a point of no return. Not to mention, what they could get vs what is on the table right now isn't the same thing. All a matter of negotiation. That doesn't leave me with much hope if it's Horst. Hopefully he can think about how desperate he got with the Jrue and Jae trades and apply it as a seller or (even better) someone above him is actually negotiating a deal and he is just the guy that gets to relay the messages back and forth.

The valuation of the franchise better come into play if he's dealt. You need some major compensation

This has to be a serious component. The valuation of the Bucks franchise, if it remains in Milwaukee, HAS to be far less if you trade Giannis. What is is worth now, 1.6 billion or something to that effect? At least several hundred million should come off that value I would assume if he's gone.

But I guess if you're a perspective buyer from Seattle who grow up rooting for Shawn Kemp/GP, maybe that doesn't matter and you'd pay even more even if he's gone because well, you have ulterior motives....

The Bucks existed before Giannis, and will continue to exist without him. The casual fan will care if the Bucks are good - which they very clearly aren't right now, even with Giannis. We need to make every effort as a franchise, and hope like all hell as fans, that we can set ourselves up well for what comes next by restocking the cubboard.

I'll freak out if/when we end up with **** assets and no good draft picks, though even then it feels more like regressing to the mean lol.

The Bucks couldn't have been more loyal for over a decade; doing whatever possible to appease Giannis while sacrificing the future. Not saying they shouldn't have, but they don't owe him anything when it comes to his destination. Get the best haul possible, say thanks and goodbye.

when i really think about this... it doesn't really make sense for any teams other than San Antonio or OKC to trade for Giannis. What other team can trade for him and still have enough left to be a real contender? These two teams can do it primarily because no matter what they are left with either Giannis and SGA or Giannis and Wemby.

All it takes for me to be wrong is Giannis to be delusional about his chances somewhere and that team's owner to want to capitalize on 4 to 7 years of Giannis filling the arena and selling jerseys.
