I'm hoping it's Ball and a 2nd for cap space.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

We have so many guards (even with the assumption of dumping Ball).

Is it worth shopping any of them?

I have our depth chart as something to the tune of this:
Harden/Schroder/CPJ/Proctor
Mitchell/Merrill/Ellis
Tyson/Strus/Ellis
Mobley/Wade/Tomlin
Allen/Byrant/Nance

Does this make Strus and CPJ expendable? We traded for Ellis and he will get playtime with Mobley and Strus out, but when they come back is he just stuck behind Strus and Merrill?

If we can snag Naz and DDV for Harden, I'd be all for it.
This will end badly

I like Harden's future potential too much. He could be a great player some day

I'm hearing from someone I know and trust that Altman isn't done and it's not a salary dump.

I asked him if I'd like it more than the Garland trade and all I got back was a lol emoji.

Who's the player you'd least like to trade and the player you'd least like to trade for? That's who we are getting

As it stands I like CPJ but he would be my choice after Ball to go. I think we need Strus as a SF, and Proctor has the potential to be more than CPJ imo.
However financially Strus would seem to make the most sense. If Strus can't play or is too limited to make a difference this season due to his injury it may make sense to dump him though.

Why would you assume we were done?

Altman doesn't stop trying to throw together impossible 5 team trades until the the NBA disconnects the phone lines at 3pm.

Heck, a likely reason for wrapping up the Harden deal two days early, rather than dragging it out to the wire to try to leverage better terms is so Altman can focus on other deals - and potentially deals that are contingent on Harden being on the team.

Not to mention, but making room for Tomlin on the roster is still a minor goal.

I kinda assumed the Lonzo dump will happen just nearer the deadline.

And yeah I assumed he was still calling around, but I didn't think we had the assets (or didn't want to give up the assets) for a Giannis.

And when I say "done" I am referring to these higher level trades than if we packaged CPJ and Strus for insert back-up big here

Speaking of Lonzo...

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to trade Lonzo Ball and two second-round picks to the Utah Jazz, sources tell ESPN. Ball's agent Rich Paul and the Jazz are expected to discuss his future soon.

Yes lol

However, I wish him the best. Seemed like a good guy on the team just uhhh he may be the worst player I've seen play actual minutes for the Cavs since 2020-21. I think Kevin Pangos was better

He was over playing basketball, and I suspect he might have been over playing basketball when he signed his current contract.
