I'm from Chicago, where my best friend from about 5-12 was named Harry Ford (yes, that's the one: haven't seen him since we were both 12). Went to Niles Township High School once we moved to the suburbs & then to the University of Chicago.

Lived in NY & Paris the next few years & then almost two decades in San Francisco. Moved to DC in '92, then to Lewes DE in '03, then back to DC (well... Silver Spring) last December. Doesn't seem likely I'll be leaving. Not standing upright anyway.... :)

If Ted Leonsis would step aside like Dan Snyder eventually did, then the organization would cease being a joke. Winger and Dawkins seem different, but it still seems like the same Wizards curse.

Mike Locksley hired very competent coordinators on offense, defense, and special teams. Guess what? Same sucky Maryland football B1G results. The guy at the top hasn't changed. Maybe this is a poor analogy. I just associate Locksley and Leonsis with losing.

Until I see otherwise, the Wizards will suck. Deconstructing for three seasons will leave the two seasons from mediocre. UNLESS Brian Keefe is one hell of a tank master. They need to rectify the loss to the Nets. Sarr and George are not pleased.

Wow! Didnt realize the age bracket of some folks here were in my age bracket. I always thought I was the elder statesman here, being that my fandom began in ~1978. I am one of those few who can remember that championship team, and the '79 team as well.
Me... High Point High School, Beltsville. I was there back when we beat Len Bias in the state finals. Glory days. We had this dude, Kevin Butler, who ended up at Navy playing next to "the admiral".
Then UMBC...attended when they were coached by former Bullets assistant coach Jeff Bzdelik. I used to watch him coach the teams, and he knew defense so well.

My prediction... we throw in the towel regarding defense first, and we become an offensive juggernaut. "You cant outscore us!" - our new motto.

My fandom started in 1977. Champions and then Lost in the finals and i’ve been hoping and praying and ultimately crying every year since. Used to bring a big piece of paperboard with a big E written on it to the occasional fames my dad would have tickets for. Used to listen to the home games on the radio because there was no cable in the District.

Predicting the future: we are back in the playoffs next year. Sixth seed. Three seed in 27/28 season. Conference finals.

Prediction - Wiz finish top 4 in the East, along with Detroit, Boston with Tatum back, and Cleveland with Harden/Mitchell and whoever else they bring in. Knicks the only other team maybe in the same tier.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot? Urinal cakes!

I remember Earl and Wes when they were newbies
and in those days, home games were typically blacked out.

I used to listen on the radio to those games that were blacked out. Then the discussion on WMAL Sports Talk with Ken Beatirce.
