Re: The 2025 Rookie Class
Kinda crazy how the Nets had 4 first round picks and not a single one has shown anything to even suggest they could be a guy.

Re: The 2025 Rookie Class
Traore was the youngest player in the draft IIRC. He’s showing early signs. If I could steal him somehow I’d cackle like a villain. On this team I think he’d develop.

Their outlook would be a little brighter if they had picked...Coward or Queen at 8. But they got nothing.

The Nets are +4.8 per 100 possessions with Demin on the floor. The PeLs are -1.9 per 100 with Queen on the floor. Erik's TS of 54% is pretty bad for a center.
Demin was supposed to be a big pg but basically he is a 3 and D wing with good passing which does have some value.

Point taken on pick 8. OTOH, it appears the Nets are doing with PG’s what we have done with Wings, grabbed a bunch, then keep the best one(s). I tell you what, Bub doesn’t play like this.

Is that right?
Bub has been miles better this season than Traore has. He was also better last season than Traore this season.

Yeah, I'm not sold on Traore yet. The guy is shooting 38.7% from 2-point range and 31.8% from 3-point range.

I said before the draft Demin was basically Joe Ingles if he can make jumpers and he has. He couldn't remain on-ball full time with no real threat of getting to the paint so he has a hard time unlocking his high level passing skill he flashed in college. He's surviving his draft status by being 6-9 and naturally built to be a wing + a high character kid who obviously put the work into his jumper.

Given that Bub(24) has played 10 X’s the number of minutes that Nolan(25) has played (3717 minutes vs 458) the comparison wouldn’t be fair.

Yeah, has looked good in 2 against the Celtics and Nuggets. Only 450 minutes so interested to see if his stats can round out a bit more especially what he showed early.

I dunno man, Egor is getting nasty out there, hitting 6 of 12 3-pointers from Curry range, and grabbed 10 rebounds too.

It’s early still, but this is shaping up to be perhaps the deepest draft ever, perhaps not filled with all stars, but good role players from top to bottom.

Kasparas is shooting 24% on 2s. He's averaging 10 pts per 36 with a 50% TS, meh.
His turnovers were so bad in college they made my eyes bleed. I suspect most of his 3s are assisted catch and shoot because he isn't good at creating his own.

He did that against our G-League team.

Yeah, Poole had a TS% of 45.4- although he is getting DNPs at the moment - he proved to be an OK (yet overpaid) NBA player.

I expect to see Nolan on the Rookie Ladder soon, his 3-point shooting is at 48% over the last 5 games as he has shown steady improvement in all facets of running the point, and he is only 19.

Nat was the only one i remember really interested in Traore. It will be interesting to see how his career compares to Riley since Traore was drafted at 19. We traded down from 19 to pick Riley.
