Can't have KAT go 1-6 on 3's. He's our 2nd all star (or used to be). he's got to shoot the 3 at league average.

Would go as far to include jose in there. Kolek is a wild card, so it's not a guarantee he would have played well. but Jose was pretty rough and getting cooked on defense over and over. I feel like there was one stretch early in the 4th where they scored what felt like 5 or 6 times in a row on him (a couple he was screened off but still). Clarkson was abysmal. Really no logic for him to be playing other than Brown being stubborn and he's taller.

Embarrassing loss. Didn’t take the pacers seriously at all and it really erases a lot of the good vibes from beating the Celtics. You want the ball in brunsons hand down the stretch but maybe run some off ball action or get him off ball for a few seconds to try to get the defense rotating a little bit. Especially on a night that Mikal, hart, and Kat were solid offensively. Or a handoff action between him and someone. Just something more than hart set a screen that doesn’t give him an advantage. That was the whole point of bringing brown here to spice these sets up a little bit and we’re left with Brunson attacking from the top of the key. That Brunson missed free throw killed us. Kat’s free throws would have been for the win if he hit that one. It’s not all on Brunson cuz Shamet had soooo many open looks too.

Pacers not tanking, will probably be rewarded with a great pick, and come back strong next year.

I don’t feel like this Knicks team fully understands that their window might be limited to this season. Next year the Celtics and Pacers will be at full strength. They aren’t taking advantage and are still prone to the same mental lapses.

especially after bridges just made 3 shots in a row. run a play to get him another look.
ChrisStudley wrote:Soft, soft, soft. How is the consistent effort on defense not there against THIS team? Every Pacers match-up should have been circled on their calendars in their own blood.

We need to do anything we can to swap out this soft attitude and get some killers on this soft team. I'd even trade for someone like a washed Draymond next year at least he can hate and hold a grudge.

i'm 100% certain the majority of these guys don't circle anything or take anything that serious. they probably don't even care about game 1 against the pacers last year the way fans do.

soft is probably the right word but it's moreso just indifference. like the opposite of the kobe/jordan mentality. these guys are friends with hali don't view it as an actual rivalry the way us fans do.

We're not even ready for an Anthony Davis and Alex Sarr frontcourt next year.

After some brief calculation, if Pacers become 5th worst of NBA(instead of 1st-4th), the chance of losing own pick on 2026 will grow from 47 to 67 percent.

Pacers now 2 wins back from 5th worst.

If AD is healthy enough to play he's better than anyone on this team.

No he is not. This isn’t 2020, and he’s never healthy.

Our core players are near or at their ceiling now, so the next gear to move forward will rely on our young guns, i.e. Kolek, Mo D and Huk. Mike Brown needs to think how to insert Kolek after addition of Jose, especially we are without Deuce for perimeter shooting.

Something was off with Alvarado. Definitely nerves of playing in the garden. Hope he settles down going forward.

Randle? Really?

In terms of looking for his own shot and not passing? Yes.
