That suggests to me that he's not playing.

(sigh) Maybe it's one of those "abundance of caution" things. Didn't look too hampered the last time he played.

Knowing our medical staff he'll be out until the end of March.

we could have just kept Sexton, we played with an already thin bench because of a old crush

Coby White is better than Sexton.

Not if he misses 20 more games than Sexton in the back end of the season. We need wins

he its better but not that much better than we can just wait on him to get healthy for a couple weeks, the best ability is availability, we need to be making our push

They’re thinking about white as a long term asset, not just this year

Hope he comes back fully healthy and closes it out like he did last year. Only question for me's can he pull it off coming off the bench?

Re: The Coby White Thread
White, nursing a left calf strain, is progressing and there’s a chance he’ll make his debut at some point on the Hornets’ road trip, which continues in White’s old stomping grounds of Chicago on Tuesday before concluding in Indianapolis on Thursday.
“I guess the update would be that he’s made some great strides,” Lee said. “He’s been able to go through some contact portions of practice and during his rehab sessions. As long as he can continue to show up every day after a little bit more intensity on the court and the evaluations go well, he’s getting closer to being able to play.”
With White’s importance to the Hornets’ hopes for a strong run down the stretch of the season, the team is being extra cautious.
“No doubt,” Lee said. “That is always at the forefront of our mind. How are we going to put him in the best position to obviously have success and also have availability past just one game. We want to make sure that we ramp him up in the right way.”

That next contract better be a hometown discount.

Re: The Coby White Thread
Conservative estimate he misses another five games at least? Nobody is going to mess around with calf injuries anymore.

This is turning into an unmitigated disaster.
Every single minute we have to play Tre Mann or Sion at PG is a minute of basketball we lose.

That's a little much. We lost 2 games in our last 4, both against top tier teams. Hardly a disaster.

Re: The Coby White Thread
I'm very interested to see how the Hornets use White. will he be as ball-dominant as he was with Chicago? the ball moves around so much in the current iteration of the Hornets offense. I always thought White was best when he got the ball near the logo with like 10 on the shot clock. maybe I'm wrong though.

Re: The Coby White Thread
from his interview with bulls reporter
“I’ve been dealing with calf stuff all year, and sometimes it would just get tight. That’s all it was. Everybody can have their opinions, but I feel like the medical staff always had my best interest here (in Chicago). If I would’ve never got traded, I probably would’ve never said anything about it, just because I thought it was just tightness. I didn’t know, they (the Bulls) didn’t know, that it was a calf strain. That’s just kind of how it played out. It was nobody’s fault. It was never hindering me from playing. I was still playing a lot of minutes. I felt it a little bit, but it never hindered me from playing. Not like I felt it in my right one, my right one, I knew I strained it. The medical staff has always done right by me since I was here (in Chicago).”
