Re: 2026 NBA DRAFT CLASS
Milos Uzan should have gone pro. He came back for his senior year at Houston and proceeded to play worse. If he wants to make the NBA, he's going to have to grind his way out of the G-League. I'm not sure if he's built for that. Might as well go overseas and make money playing ball.

Re: 2026 NBA DRAFT CLASS
Tonight on ESPN, at 6:30 PM Eastern Time will be the marquee matchup of college basketball's regular season.
The #1 ranked Michigan Wolverines will visit the #3 ranked Duke Blue Devils.
Michigan is 25-1 on the season and leads the Big Ten in conference play, having gone 15-1.
Duke is 24-2 on the season and leads the ACC in conference play as well, having gone 13-1.
In tonight's matchup, high draft picks abound will take the floor. Here's a summary with ESPN Analytics' Aggregate Draft Rankings:
DUKE
#2 PROSPECT - 6' 9", 250 lbs. - Freshman Forward CAMERON BOOZER
#18 PROSPECT - 6' 11", 250 lbs. - Sophomore Center PATRICK NGONGBA II
#34 PROSPECT - 6' 6", 180 lbs. - Sophomore Guard / Forward ISAIAH EVANS
#49 PROSPECT - 6' 8", 190 lbs. - Freshman Guard / Forward DAME SARR
#89 PROSPECT - 6' 4", 205 lbs. - Freshman Guard CAYDEN BOOZER
#91 PROSPECT - 6' 9", 225 lbs. - Senior Forward MALIQ BROWN
#155 PROSPECT - 6' 8", 215 lbs. - Freshman Guard / Forward NIKOLAS KHAMENIA
MICHIGAN
#8 PROSPECT - 6' 9", 240 lbs. - Senior Forward YAXEL LENDEBORG
#24 PROSPECT - 6' 9", 250 lbs. - Sophomore Forward MOREZ JOHNSON JR.
#30 PROSPECT - 7' 3", 255 lbs. - Junior Center ADAY MARA
#137 PROSPECT - 6' 8", 190 lbs. - Freshman Guard TREY MCKENNEY
Of interest here is the matchup between forwards Cameron Boozer and Yaxel Lendeborg. Statistically, they have been the two top players of college basketball:
On College Basketball Reference's BPM, Boozer is #1 with +19.4 (OBPM +13.1, DBPM +6.3) and Lendeborg is #2 with +16.6 (OBPM +9.2, DBPM +7.4).
On Bart Torvik's BPM, Boozer is #1 with +17.9 and Lendeborg is #2 with +15.1.
On Evan Miya's BPR, Boozer is #1 with +13.71 (OBPR +8.99, DBPR +4.72) and Lendeborg is #2 with +13.07 (OBPR +7.62, DBPR +5.46).
On Hoop-Explorer's Luck-adjusted RAPM, Boozer is #1 with +15.1 (Offensive +10.3, Defensive +4.8) and Lendeborg is #2 with +14.7 (Offensive +9.1, Defensive +5.6).
Tonight's matchup may have some implications for the NPOY race, especially if Yaxel has a statement game.

I guess he'd fit that description. He's clearly better than Reynaud and Condon, in my opinion.

Re: 2026 NBA DRAFT CLASS
I watched most of the game.
Michigan has an imposing style. Grunty physical basketball. Reffing was pretty fair. I think the goal tend call was bad, but review presumes the call was right and puts burden of evidence on the challenge side.
Lendeborg should be a lotto pick which most people agree on.
Mara is draftable in the early second. Has good defensive feels and great size.
Boozer is a gifted passer. He could have hit 10 assists tonight if his team finished some contested layups.
Isaiah Evans is not ready for the NBA, not sure if he ever will be. He should come out this year if Duke goes far and go early second round.
Ngongba is huge. He has that Derik Queen, Demarcus Cousins physique, but leaner and taller. Based on his size alone, he should be drafted as a big goober center at end of lotto.

Mara is a backup center in the NBA and will likely have a good career.

Lendeborg should be a late 2nd.. He's basically Trayce Jackson-Davis with a college 3 ball.. He wont be able to guard the paint or the perimeter in the NBA.. or score reliably.. Boozer should be the #2 pick over Peterson

Re: 2026 NBA DRAFT CLASS
UPDATE: Boozer's all around game shines in the 68-63 win over Michigan. He recorded 18 points, 10 rebounds (4 offensive), 7 assists (with only 1 turnover), and 2 blocks in 33 minutes. He shot 5/8 from 2-point range, 1/2 from downtown, and 5/7 from the charity stripe. He was a team-high +9.
While early on, he got into foul trouble, having 4 fouls, he came back with 4 minutes left and rattled off 7 straight points for Duke to seal the win.
Yaxel Lendeborg had 21 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks in his 38 minutes, and was -3 in those minutes.
Other notable performances:
Morez Johnson Jr. with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 28 minutes
Aday Mara with 10 points on 4/4 from the field and 2/2 from the free throw line, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 22 minutes (he also got in foul trouble). Team-high +4
Isaiah Evans was an assassin in this game and had a bunch of big shots to set the tone and close the game, although this isn't reflected in his percentages: 14 points on 5/15 shooting, 2/9 from three, and 2/2 dagger free throws in 24 minutes
Patrick Ngongba II with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks in 28 minutes
Maliq Brown with 2 steals and a block in 19 minutes

AJ is on another level, much more athletic than Boozer. When all is said and done more teams would take him than Boozer. Peterson is the mystery box with questions about his attitude and health.

I haven't seen much talk about him but Ivan Kharchenkov strikes me as the kind of player that can have a long and appreciated NBA career. There's just something about these very strong players with good size who play with effort and do a little bit of everything on the court.

Yeah, he is an NBA body and will end up being there at some point. I could easily see him returning to school and improving as a sophomore and pushing to be a top 10 pick next year in a weaker class.

AZ fan and he’s my favorite player on the team. He already played in Euroleague and still a teenager. Think he comes back but if he was a better shooter he’d go lottery.

Tankathon has now moved Cameron Boozer to the #1 spot on their big board, leaping Darryn Peterson. AJ Dybantsa remains at #3.
Acuff Jr. also leaps into the #6 spot.

Re: 2026 NBA DRAFT CLASS
with all the small market teams tanking the NBA can't prevent all of them from getting an elite talent. So they need Peterson to tank his draft stock thus making it believable why a team would pass on him so he can go where he wants. This way there won't be as many alarm bells going off when the Mavs get him when they move up to #3.
If I was to guess how they'll manage to do this
1 - Boozer (Jazz) they literally hired his old man to the front office for this very reason. Jazz getting the #1 pick will quiet loud conspiracy theorists that claim the draft is rigged (but not me!!)
2 - Dybantsa (Pacers) they're set at PG and poor Dybantsa will just have to grin and bear it until he can force his way elsewhere years down the road. Meanwhile he gets to play in the playoffs and build up a HoF resume so it's honestly a great fit and if he accepted staying in IND long-term it'd be outstanding for the league imho.
3 - Peterson (Mavs) how convenient that he falls and the Mavs are able to move up to take their biggest need. Peterson goes to a team with no state income tax so he'll be happy
4 - Wilson (Kings) since he's not a #1 type he'll be content playing for a small market, possibly for his whole career, but at least until he can force his way elsewhere. I'd be ecstatic if it fell this way

Probably got good NIL money. Same with Donovan Dent - terrible this season (17% from 3). Freethrow shooting down from 78 to 62.
