Braylon Mullins
This kid is flying under the radar...and UCONN is pretty much the same team but now ranked top 5 with him being the main addition.
When I saw him for the first time earlier this year I had flashbacks to the santa clara white transfer last year who couldn't play at all but this kid has some size.
Is his comp Jordan Hawkins?

Re: Braylon Mullins
He is a mid-late 1st who has a lot of the same skill-set as his father, but 30-40 years later.
I would like to see him develop another year in the NCA, but he has NBA talent.

I see a nice bench shooter (Or 5th starter type on a strong team that needs shooting) but as someone else said - someone will reach based on Kon (Sorta like the Hield / Stauskas reaches to emulate GSW).
I have him in the 20-30 range.

Re: Braylon Mullins
I have a borderline first round grade on him, think he is 30th on my current big board.
A lot of red flags- should probably return to school and try to become more dynamic getting to the rim and handling the ball.
If he could become a point guard in college that might be his best path forward.

Yes, it's now confirmed (I've read it on Wiretap this morning).
Maybe the NIL money was too good to pass?
I guess he's betting on being drafted at a higher spot in 2027... I don't know if it's a good strategy, as he's passing an extra year of earning pro money over his career.

Good morning Az! How are you doing? I hope you're well.
BTW, I haven't forgot about your PM (from months ago...). I went through a lot in the past few months, and only recently been able to sort it out and be back to posting regularly. I'll make sure to reply it in due time.
Greetings, my friend.

Re: Braylon Mullins
Mullins had an okay freshman season. The only reason I wouldn't be concerned about him is because of who his coach is. Hurley pushed Bouknight, Castle, Clingan, Hawkins and Andre Jackson out the door when it was time to go to the NBA.
If Mullins was being graded as a top-15 pick, he would be declaring. Him staying in school means, there is a good possibility that he is tracking like Liam McNeeley was (last pick of 2025 first round). Would Liam have been better off staying another year? I don't know, but he spent basically the entire season in the G-League winning the G-League chip as opposed to playing for the Hornets (who played two other rookies drafted after him).
Him not even going to the combine is all the confirmation I need on it as well, because NBA would have invited him if he declared.
This says to me that Mullins wants to be a top-10 pick next year and will go hard to be an All-American.
Just my two cents.

Re: Braylon Mullins
Probably a good move. He has the archetype that teams look for in guards, and could easily go top ten next year. He was never really trusted when he came back from his injury. He should be the top dog on one of the best programs in the country. Unless he face plants he should be a lottery pick next year.

Re: Braylon Mullins
I think him returning is a good move. UConn will be very good next year and he will have a chance to be a bigger part of their offense. Mullins being hurt for the first month of the season relegated him to being a role player, but there is more there IMO. It's always risky to pass on being a for sure first round pick, but I suspect he goes in the lottery next year.
