Bedard anyone???

Post#1 » by Rocketsterps » Wed Jan 30, 2008 5:03 pm

Omar amazingly kept our top pitching & hitting prospects out of the Santana deal. How about going after another young ace in Bedard.

I'd deal Martinez, Pelfrey and Joe Smith or Burgos for Bedard.

2008 mets staff would be the best in baseball...

1. J. Santana (lefty)
2. P. Martinez (righty)
3. E. Bedard (lefty)
4. J. Maine (righty)
5. O. Perez (lefty)
----------------------------
2008-09 Championship Depth Chart
1) Ben Gordon/ Aaron Brooks/ Rafer Alston
2)Tracy McGrady/ B. Barry/ V. Wafer
3) Shane Battier/ R. Artest/ C. Hayes
4) Luis Scola/C. Landry/Joey Dorsey
5) Yao/ D. Mutumbo/Sean Williams

1.) That package isnt enough for Bedard.
2.) So you just want to absolutely have no future?
3.) That is still NO where next to the package seattle offers.

Buddy Hield / Timothy Luwawu / Stanley Johnson

Wait, so you'd trade a better package for Bedard than what you moved for Santana?

Why not just sit back and enjoy the fact that your team fleeced the Twins in getting the best pitcher in the game without having to sacrifice your top hitting or your top pitching prospect?

We don't have enough to get Bedard and I don't think it makes sense to attempt another big trade.
