It is official!

He has been exiled in the west coast for the last 5 years. Kuminga finally got his chance to play and show his stuff and had one of the best Hawk debut since the Hawk great Jock!

Lets hope that the pressure from Curry and Kerr are now off, we finally get the Kuminga the NBA has been expecting.

Jonathan Kuminga made his Hawks debut on Tuesday and finished with 27 points (9-of-12 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and three three-pointers in a 119-98 win over the Wizards.

Watching JK tonight, he reminds me of a poor man's Josh Smith. An inch shorter than Josh, slightly less athletic, jump shot is on and off, but overall still very effective and has a good feel for the game with his athleticism.

Kuminga was all smiles after his return to the court after a long lay-off.

"I don't know what to tell you. I'm just excited to get out there, get this dub. As man wins that we can collect. That's all that matters. It don't matter who go crazy. As long as we play for each other and get that dub, that's all that matters."

Hawks fans are gonna fall in love with JK too soon...based off some skewed data points against a subpar oponent.

I'm always upset when the young guys like Zac, DD, Gueye, Vit, can't put together back to back good games. Hopefully JK will be different and get +20pts.

JK's face up game in the half court looks pretty polished.
Strikes me as a dude who will be really effective with the ball in his hands...and be completely lost when playing off ball.

Draymond Green reacts to Jonathan Kuminga's ‘incredible' Hawks debut

“Incredible, incredible game,” Golden State star forward Draymond Green said on the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show."

“JK was just getting out and running. [When the Hawks are] hitting him in transition, he gets to it. Once he gets downhill and he gets dunks, then the three-ball starts falling...Just a beautiful game and I’m happy to see it.

“I actually talked to him the night before on FaceTime. I’m like, “Man, when are you playing?” He’s like, “I’m at it tomorrow, big bro. I’m back tomorrow night.” I’m like, “Let’s get it.” And, you know, the young fella came out with 27 [points]. What a great debut. Happy to see him playing. Happy to see him smiling.”
