Kyshawn George

Does Kyshawn not get rebounds anymore? I haven't looked at his rebounding rate for the first 25 games and then the last 25 games, but looking at boxscores he has declined a lot in that area.

I know we're all laughing about the tank, but this injury has me worried. It sounds like it could be more serious. Plus we're getting to the point with our young guys (except Bub), where I'm having serious doubts about their durability. Hope Ky can come back for the last week or two of the season and finish strong.

He doesn't need to play the rest of the season. He could realistically have 7 months off to heal this injury.

As far as the durability concerns this tank has made it hard to tell when players are injured vs just hurt. I feel like if we were in a playoff hunt Sarr would not still be out.

Now that his season has ended officially, how do we feel about it? Obviously a lot of improvement, but where does he go from here?

I was impressed by his growth this year. My questions regarding Keyshawn George are as follows:

1) is he really a better shooter? He had a remarkable hot streak to start the season, and sort of came back to earth a bit before his injury.
2) what’s his role if he’s not the primary or secondary ball handler? Relegated to super sub bench facilitator?
3) is he more promising than Riley? Or Bilal?
4) suppose they luck into dybantsa, how will minutes be distributed between dybansta, Riley, Bilal, and George?

Kyshawn is a big, strong guy who can play defense and shoot/pass/dribble. Every team can use a guy like that. He struggles at times when he tries to do too much off the dribble, which was a systematic problem this year since they were playing him as a pg at times.

If we get a true number one option I think Kyshawn will find his ideal role, with a mix of on/off ball touches.

I think there's enough minutes for all of them because Riley looks like he can play guard full time. Sarr is only going to play about 10 minutes a night at forward so that leaves 86 forward minutes to be split between Dybantsa, Bilal and George.

All that said, in the long run, it may not be possible to maximize the skillsets of all three of Dybantsa, George and Riley since they're very similar players as big, ball-handling wings. One of them might need to be traded eventually. But that's a problem for the future.

What's the update about his injury btw? Was it his right or left elbow? And last I heard he's been ruled out the rest of the season but will be ready for training camp. So did he have surgery? I would assume so since as far as I know a partially torn UCL isn't something that can heal. But I do know baseball players will sometimes get a PRP injection as a treatment and rehab, but that often doesn't work.

So did he have surgery or will he? And what is the rehab timeframe before he can resume basketball activities and begin his "Jump Season"? Its always frustrating when teams are so vague with their information.
