Coby getting into his groove now and killing it!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: The Coby White Thread
We stole probably the best 6th man in the league from the Bulls. Coby adds an element to this team that we have been missing for years. His ability to score in bunches while starters are sitting keeps us ahead in games. When he is hot he sometimes is absolutely unreal.

Re: The Coby White Thread
Not sure how people quickly got cold feet over trading Coby for Sexton. During this recent win streak he has been our best player along with Melo. He just needed some time to get back into playing shape.
Probably gonna force us to make some very difficult off-season decisions if this play keeps up.

Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Re: The Coby White Thread
Coby was clearly an upgrade over Sexton and seems like he loves it here. Hopefully we can keep him and sign up Miller.

Re: The Coby White Thread
In an interview after being traded to Charlotte Coby was asked,
Q: What vital quote do you live by
His answer: "Adversity introduces a man to himself" by Albert Einstein

My follow up would be, "Who inspired your hair?"

Told my friends who are all unc fans I’ll rock the living **** out of a unc shirt all day for this guy. What a stud.

Hopefully Peterson already has his new contract drafted and ready to go.

Re: The Coby White Thread
As much money as he made on his next contract during the Miami game I feel like he gave it all back during this Orlando game. Net even I reckon.

Re: The Coby White Thread
No knock on coby But is there anyone here that thinks maybe we traded for the wrong bull's guard? Would anyone swap coby for ayo? would ayo Solve more of our problems or are we still better off with coby?

I definitely prefer Ayo, but I'm fine with Coby. Both are better than Sexton.

Re: The Coby White Thread
I think Ayo is a better fit overall, but Coby has more upside and is more able to fill in for Melo if/when he gets injured.

Re: The Coby White Thread
Would Ayo be a better fit? Probably? Ayo's still more combo guard than PG
it's impossible not to like Coby, he's such a lovable dude, but even with a high-scoring Coby on board this roster still appears to need a second PG who can manufacture not replace shots for the team's elite shooters

Get what you're saying. I think ideally he is paired with another table setter. My fear is that the bench guard rotation next year willagain be coby, sion, mann. And frankly I don't wanna watch another possession in my lifetime where sion or mann Have to initiate the offense or create for others.

Re: The Coby White Thread
Points who can pass are rare - its what makes it so hard to trade LaMelo, there just aren't any out there. Brunson maybe in a NYK meltdown/teardown?

Re: The Coby White Thread
In a perfect world, that table setter is coming from the frontcourt. If Ben Simmons was willing and able to play basketball that would be actually an enormous lift for us.
investigate Adam Silver
