The firing of Griffin was most likely a way to once again appease Giannis. We all like to poke fun at LeBron James, calling him LeGM, but Giannis has done his fair share of meddling.

Giannis endorsed Griffin.

Can't believe it took people that are paid millions to manage to a team to realize this.

While I agree Rivers isn't a very good coach, as he hasn't been good for years, but why would they opt to pay another coach for what surely will be a terrible team next season? Then they would be paying Rivers, Griffin, and the new coach. Why? They need to focus on getting the best/most draft picks they can get for Giannis (including their own if possible), and let next season play-out as terribly as it will. Nothing could really make this Bucks team that good next season (assuming Giannis is traded), including a different coach, so why pay millions extra for another head coach to facilitate it? Doesn't make sense. They already forfeited next season with their roster moves over the past 2-3 seasons, especially considering they've ruined their relationship with their franchise player.

No established coach is signing that contract until Giannis signs his extension.

Giannis endorsed Griffin.
And then showed him the door.

You must have missed Griffin alienate Lillard from the beginning by making Stotts resign.
Or Bobby Portis and Brook Lopez incidents in the lockers.
But hey.. it's always easy to blame the star player.

30-13 and was fired over "team defense." But hey.. it's the Bucks, and Doc Rivers at 95-100 was the right choice.

Nobody says Doc Rivers was a smart move.
That doesn't mean Griffin was a smart one either.
Man management is also an attribute a coach should have.
Griffin didn't.
That's irrelevant with the thing you said though.
When you accuse a X person for something you must be able to back it up with some proofs.
You don't have any.

So you're telling me Giannis has nothing to do with the current state of the Bucks?
All the trades, all the picks moved, etc. was not to accommodate him? Hell, the waiving and stretching of Lilliard was strictly to bring in someone else for him.
Maybe he did not have anything to do with the firing of Griffin, but did he speak up and voice his dismay? I don't recall. All the in-season drama this year. It's him. He should take plenty of blame, if not all of it.

The only time Giannis spoke about his dismay for a coaching situation was when Jason Kidd was fired in 2018.
He didn't speak ever again after that.
If you wanna accuse him for that, okey.
I do too believe he should have spoken in situations over the years.
Not with coaches. With players.
The Bucks not re-signing PJ Tucker right after the championship for example.
The Bucks trading his friend (and best man at his wedding) Middleton for Kuzma.
The Bucks stretching Lillard.
But he didn't tell them to trade his best friend.
Nor to stretch Dame or hire Doc.
Not even to sign his brothers.
They did it. The Bucks have only themselves to blame for what they did post 2021.
