Post#1 » by ItsaVC3 » Fri Feb 1, 2008 3:21 pm

when they dont the yankees better go to the twins and say we accept kennedy cabrera and some other two bad prospects. i see phil not being the next best in this team so if cashman does not want to recieve phone threads and he better move out of NY with hughes.

i think there is like a .001 percent chance the mets dont sign him... it could be 445pm both sides would be a part, and omar would crack and give santana his wife if he had too just to get it done

Why is it disgusting? Have we gotten to the point where people actually think that Hughes will be better than Santana for the next 6 years?

No one knows for sure how good Hughes will be. Unfortunately, however great, good, or bad he is, he will forever be compared to Johan Santana -- atleast for the next few years. He could have 5 good/great seasons in the next 5 years but he'll be compared to Johan. It's tough to compare a guy to a pitcher who put together arguably the most dominant 4 yr. stretch in history. At this point it's all hindsight. If Santana is great and Phil is good then Cashman is a jerkoff and blah blah blah and visa versa.

The trade didn't go through. It's time to forget about Santana. We have to worry about that team up in Boston who is one step ahead of us again this year. Eff Santana.

Mets fans are not too happy with his start today. I hope this would be an epic bust

It's only his first start of Spring Training. I wish it were a sign of things to come, but it probably isn't.

Yeah it's way, way too early to start predicting anything. Especially off of one start.
