His extension doesn’t kick-in until next season.

He played through the playoffs last year with wrist ligament damage.

Definitely earned the right to rest after his injured run last year helped win them a title. He is only putting a half of a season's miles on his knees this year.

He missed 49 (!!!) games this season and they went 39-10.

When the big money hits next season, he's the one being moved, not Chet. He's definitely not their #2 option.
