There incorrect non-calls against the Cavs were either inconsequential, nit picky, or simply not how that game was being called.

It was the first time I've ever seen a defensive three second call on a 2 minute report.

The non-call on a Mitchell's double dribble a second before he stepped out of bounds didn't impact the game in any way..

The incorrect non call on Harden for dislodging Shead from legal guarding position made me laugh out loud given that's like 80% of Barnes and Barrett's offensive game.

The incorrect non call on Strus happened on a play where the ball was ruled out on Strus and the game was over anyway.

The two most consequential incorrect non calls were Shead fouling Mitchell before the 8 second violation and CMB laying out Merrill before the in bound.

The most damning thing about the 2MR is what's not in there. In its review of Allen on Barnes foul, the league decided to just disappear the fact that Barnes brought his off arm down, hard, on Allen first. Allen's allowed to move from A to B to attempt a block, and he was in position to make a clean block. Someone made a decision that they didn't want to address that in a 2 minute report. So they disappeared it.

Or it wasn't that big of a deal and happens constantly in the league and never gets called.

The wasn't that big of a deal argument would carry more weight if the that 2MR wasn't littered with notations that seemed inconsequential.
This will end badly

To say that these things were inconsequential because the Raps wouldve had the ball anyways makes sense. To turn around and say the Shead contact on Mitchell was consequential when the 8 second call wouldve come anyways is a little inconsistent.

Huh? If anything that would point that Barnes contact was incredibly inconsequential and very common place if it wasn't even mentioned.

I mean the video is right next to entry in the 2MR. Allen was in position to cleanly block that shot which is precisely why Barnes came down with his off arm. That's not inconsequential. If the league is going to allow that, they need to instruct the officials to swallow their whistle and no call the entire play.

Holy overreactions lol. I'm old enough to remember the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals where the Cavs jumped out to a 2-0 lead and looked to sweep. The Raptors won game 3 by double digits, and then won a close game 4.

This iteration of the Cavs and Raptors are both worse than those, obviously - but overall point is, there are a lot of overreactions based on those two games.

There are a lot of overreactions, but I think what is clear is neither of these teams are going to winning it all this year.

Cavs have all the talent and are well built. However, there is just something missing from this team. The inability to close out has been there all year. I think a major retool is coming if this is another first or second round exit.

Cavs probably swing for the fence to get Giannis (sending out Mobley and Tyson) and LeBron probably comes a knocking for his retirement run.

How would the 8 second call still have came?

The missed foul was at 41 seconds and the 8 second violation occurred at 39 seconds...

Clearly no illegal contact was made first by Barnes because both the officiating crew and the 2MR review crew confirmed Allen initiated illegal contact.

If you want to open up the 2MR to accusations of fraud and deceit, I’m happy to argue that the 2MR got it wrong on the Shead-lead 8 second violation.

Disagree they let them play. A similar call was made in Magics favour vs Detroit.

Cavs fans thinking the refs out to get them.

Instead of realizing their team's not a contender. A contender should have mopped the floors regardless of a couple ref calls with the current iteration of the Raptors. The way Celtics, NY, SA, Okc does.

In fact l2m report says refs favoured the Cavs.

Not sure which play you 5alk about but all star players push around with their off hands when they drive or finish. Just ask Tatum lebron harden mitchel barnes etc.

They only call it when the defender is planted and set in position

Also when they make the call they won't know the future impact. The fact is, l2m thinks the refs favoured the Cavs.

He's talking about this play https://official.nba.com/last-two-minute-report/?gameNo=0042500134&eventNum=2230 which happens like every night in the NBA.

tbh i think despite the noise and excitement most raps fans still think the cavs are the favorite to win this. most of us are just happy to see them showing they can play with a very good team like cleveland.

But i think i take this year's Raps squad over that 2016 squad almost top to bottom. This raps squad is just a bit green this year.

Barnes 24 - Lowry 29
Ingram 28 - Demar 26
Barrett 25 - Valanciunas 23
Quickley 26 - Patterson 24
Poeltl 30 --- Carroll 29

CMB 20 ---- Biyombo 23
Shead 23 ---- Joseph 24
Walter 21 ---- Powell 22
Mamu 26 ----- Ross 24
"I wasn't gonna act surprised - cuz I wasn't surprised."
