I’d probably leave with any kind of first round promise. He’s going to need development against bigger, more physical players to have a NBA career of significance.

Ill say this as a Duke fan, I hope Morez stays in the draft haha.

I think Moustapha Thiam will be taking over for Mara and Morez could take over for Yaxel but they also got Jalen Reed who can fill that role as well. It might be best for Morez to come out because I don't think the minutes/usage is guaranteed. Strong combine could see him taken in the mid first and he'd probably contribute in the NBA right away
Foes..you DO realize I don't see your posts....right?

Morez has a better body, but he doesn’t have the offensive game Yaxel does. I think he stays in the draft. He’s kind of like a bigger Yessoufou. Needs offensive development.

If his goal is to be in the NBA then he should just stay in the draft. How much higher can he really go? He will probably be a first round pick. This draft is thinning out fast, especially with front court player.

There are only 30 spots in the first round, but that is also the case next year. If you want to get to the NBA, why mess with it in the off chance you're taken at #16 next year instead of #21 this year. Some of these dudes need to stay in the draft.

Morez has a good frame, probably will have good wingspan numbers and be able to play center in the NBA, but what is his superpower as a center? He isn't a guy with a lot of offensive game, most of his buckets come out of the mud. He isn't a shot blocker. The shooting is a maybe but probably not something a team should bank on drafting him highly for....

So you are drafting him as a mobile center who is a decent rebounder at 6-9. It just doesn't really get me out of bed to draft that guy top 20 as some awesome pick.

Feels very Dayron Sharpe like who is so sought after the Nets paid him a 2/12 with a TO in FA.

His super power is at PF QBing the defense. He will be really good as a smallball C too. Dude is Caruso but at PF.

Graham Ike basically measured 6'11 in shoes with a 7'5 wingspan @ the G-League combine. I think he's going to end up getting drafted or receiving a two-way contract opportunity from someone.

Brother what lol... He is going to be the equivalent of a top 10 defender in the league? Feels like that is very big reach at this point. Especially since he was nothing special from a steal or block rate, or really even rebounding.

He played next to a 6-9 PF lottery pick and a 7-3 C lottery pick. I think looking good on defense without having to guard other teams best player or protect the rim in college makes it very difficult to project him as an all world defender at this point.

Wagner?

I’ll take Wilson.

Then at 15 go Philon Carr Morez. Morez will probably be only one there. He’s a more athletic higher motor Horford and a great 5 out fit with CW. Dominate the glass and run like your feet are on fire.

That's how I rank the prospects, correct.

Does anyone else kind of hate the late lotto range? After Yaxel I truly find myself at a loss for the 12-19th picks. No one feels good I really dislike them all

It's the danger zone for sure. You're basically going for a lotto ticket on an Ament or Cenac or an old senior like Yaxel or Stirtz. The player I like most in that range is Christian Anderson

I think a lot of people will have it mocked for the next two weeks.
1. Washington- AJ
2. Utah- Peterson
3. Memphis- Boozer
4. Chicago- Wilson

Which very well could happen, you could argue should happen if we were playing the game 2k.

However, I think politics play a role.

#1. Does the NBA want AJ in Utah?
2. Does Peterson want to play in Utah? Not like he has been the easiest guy to get on the floor.
3. Boozer is a sleeper to Utah, his dad played for Utah and also is a Scout for the Jazz organization now.
3b. Kessler is yet to be signed for Utah, they could easily take Boozer and run a front court of Lauri-Cam-JJJ
4. Boozer also played in Chicago- never played for Memphis.
5. Acuff seems sort of in play for both Chicago and Memphis- Detroit kid, both teams need scoring in a big way and might have huge holes at the PG spt.

Is it really that crazy Peterson could try to force his way to Chicago or Clippers? USC was in his final 4 college choices.

Read on Twitter

Jeremy Woo reports:

Six players have been called up from the G-League combine, which concluded yesterday, to the NBA Draft Combine:

Jacob Cofie
Rafael Castro
Trey Kaufmann-Renn
Aaron Nkrumah
Bryce Hopkins
Noam Yaacov

These six add to the 73 players invited initially (although many of these 73 have since withdrawn).

The combine scrimmages do not include all prospects, as the scrimmages are not mandatory (and most first round picks do not participate in them), but the scrimmage teams have been released (and they are shown in the tweet above).

Right now, measurements are being taken of prospects, and they will likely be public shortly. Probably today.

Tomorrow, the televised portion of the combine will begin.

There's a new website that has been released: The NBA Draft Combine Data Hub. I think this is where the NBA will officially be disseminating their data.

https://combine.nba.com/

It also has all the data for the last twenty-five years of combine testing, in one interface, including lots of features such as sortable tables and interactive scatterplots where you can see how different variables relate to each other (for example, standing reach and hand width, or height and vertical jump) and what outliers there are. Neat stuff!

Givony is posting them on X, and starting with the highest prospects.
