Re: Euroleague 2026
You can't have teams in Manchester and London just because they have a great fanbase in football via various clubs.
Englishmen don't like basketball. That won't change.
No city can replace Belgrade.
Instead of inserting football teams, bring back Split. Cibona Zagreb. Olympia Ljubljana. Varese. Treviso. Limoges. Riga. The Russian teams. CSKA. Give more teams to Turkey and Greece. Besiktas. Galatasaray. Aris. PAOK.
That's the history of euro basketball.
Not Manchester ***** United.

Nunn looks like NBA player any time he plays, Shorts looks like would be worst player in a league if you put him there.
He just needed time. It ain't easy to adjust from a superstar and 3rd in MVP voting of the entire league on your former team to a 3rd or 4th option on guards behind Sloukas and Nunn and possibly Grant.
Toliopoulos doesn't even play in the Euroleague and he's my favourite greek player at the moment. No minutes available.
Shorts has adjusted. He's playing very good lately. He will be even better. He's a great offensive engine.

I becoming a big Pao hater this season. I usually support Ataman, but guy keeps whining, man now whines he does not have enough players, dude you have the most star filled roster in Europe, its asinine this guy is complaining how PAO does not have enough players, almost every other team does more with far far less, its crazy. And what can I say about their owner, its been new low in sports ownership, like never rached levels before.
They are currently playing Hapoel, I hope Hapoel wins honestly.

Re: Euroleague 2026
Tough loss for Žalgiris in overtime. Meanwhile, Valencia won both games in Athens, this series been crazy. PAO fans twitter attacked one of our broadcasters and his entire portfolio social, because the guy said that finally someone in the league actually called out PAOs owner. I get that he puts lots of money into the team, but if he was owner of team I supper, I would ashamed for sure, can't imagine how wack you must be to actually defend that guy.
But speaking of Basketball, Jean Montero legit might be best player in Europe right now, if he is not in the NBA next season, I will be very surprised.
Olympiacos absolutely dominated, hard to see them not winning it all this year.

That's typical Ataman, it's a message to his players (especially Nigel). He likes to cook his own players in front of the media and usually it works.

Kendrick Nunn is seriously overrated. He's been terrible in the playoffs every year, he had a horrible game in the one final he played in, and he is one of the worst defenders at the guard spots ever in EuroLeague.
Bryant hasn't ever been good in the playoffs either.
Moneke has always been a stat padder on bad teams.
Hifi is a stat padder on a bad team, and he can't play defense.
McIntyre is a point guard that can't shoot.
Milutinov is very good at what he does for his role (interior defense, rebounding, and finishes around the rim), but outside of that, he offers a team absolutely nothing. He can't play defense outside of the paint, and he has to have pick and roll creation to be effective on offense.
Petrusev is a good player, but MVP consideration is way overboard. He's a good player on a mediocre team. That's not anything near to MVP level consideration.
Nwora is the same kind of example as Petrusev.
Eurohoops loses credibility with this kind of nonsense.

He's just not a good player. He's basically Isaiah Thomas (not the hall.of famer), minus shooting ability.
Shorts isn't a EuroLeague level player at all. Even the EuroCup and FIBA Champions League are full of more offensively skilled and better defending guards than Shorts.
It's actually kind of crazy that he got a head coach and a team, in Paris, to design an entire offensive system of intricate picks and screens, so that he could be a useful player on offense.
Because other than ball handling, he's pretty much a bad player all around on offense. And he's also pretty much unable to guard anyone, due to his physical limitations at his size.
He's not like Campazzo physically, who is short, but is super strong, very well built, and a very natural athlete. Shorts is just short, with a small frame, and small build. He's not that athletic either. He's a very aptly named player.

Real Madrid and Olympiacos are playing their 4th final in just 15 years!

With two of them being home games. Real was playing at home in 2015, and Olympiacos is playing at home this year.
When teams play home games at the final four, it really defeats the whole concept of neutral venue locations and making things equal. There shouldn't be home games in final fours, as it gives an unfair advantage to the host teams.

We did **** up multiple minutes in the last 40 seconds or so but, at the end, we were able to win this. Congratulations to everyone involved

The first top seed to win the title. A coach uses all 12 players in a 40 min final game. Both pretty weird.

Re: Euroleague 2026
I think Real and Baskonia have really dumb GM strategies.
Real seems to love shots at the dark at most dubious NBA washouts, last year it was Len, this year its Sarr, like really? Meanwhile Baskonia really thinks they can build Euroleague team from G league market, they just signed another G leaguer.
