There is a rumor hat has us interested in the Suns centre Mark Williams, who I believe would be a nice addition.

Hawks been link to having an interview with AJ. Could be some trade up in the works otherwise why would they do that.

I think all teams that are goint to select in the first positions are allowed interviews with the top players. It could be useful in case any mega deal or important deal could hapen. You have the oportunity to know a player as a person and you have to take it. Situations change quikly and in a year this player could be available.

Correct.
You do the interview regardless so you plant the seed for the future if there is a chance that guy becomes available by trade or in free agency. More teams should do it....We know nine teams met with AJ.

From a personnel/roster perspective: I would definitely take that deal.

From a financial perspective: I'd have some concerns.
That roster would get very expensive very quickly...and still wouldn't be good enough to win a title in the age of Wemby.

I'd probably prefer going after Kyrie Irving instead. :sour:

We become an even smaller team: no SFs, no Center (particularly since the rest of the article has us taking a 6'-1" point guard at #23)
My other concern is if we trade for a high salaried players, I don't trust that Ressler will be willing to pony up what it would cost to really fill out the roster, we'd just skirt the tax like usual.

It's interesting that so many Hawk fans want to trade for a star

Hawks are an under the tax team; a runway team. Onsi has been 100% consistant with that message. Hawks also are far from having the talent to do an all in trade

I guess be patient and hope for the internal growth to produce some real talent

I agree that it is mostly a low upside strategy, but it is the strategy

Maybe if they can hit on some picks the overall talent level will change the possibilities. Right now Hawks are about mid in overall talent

Pacers weren't a playoff team the season before trading for Siakam.

I exagerated a bit. If you can get the right deal it's always good. Like what TOR paid for Kawhi

I think the Hawks are getting closer to being ready to snag a good deal. Need Ris and Asa to develop. DD to get over his yips and hit on the picks. Onsi is building and he definately isn't slack about making moves
