Chet is used to be being the tallest force on the court. He's used to getting his shots off easy against shorter guys. It's a bit of a shock when someone has your stature but bigger and better.

So no, he's not overrated. Neither *was* draymond.

Chet is a fine player and he is unfairly compared to Wemby due to similar physiques and from the same rookie class. Asking Chet to put on extra weight is unrealistic. Its like asking Zion to lose weight.

How exactly is this team winning so many games?

By always having three extra guys on the court.

I like Chet. He's not a finished product.

It's interesting to me how some guys can play down low in the league weighing about what he does and hold their own. Players like Marcus Camby, Theo Ratliff, Pervis Ellison, and they played in a bigger era.

Everyone turning on SGA and the Thunder in real time. I knew it was coming. Ask Nuggets and Jokic fans how that feels.

San Antonio wins a championship, and they and Wemby will be next.

Love how Draymond continues to be the best litmus test on how well you know basketball; anyone thinking he is overrated is telling on themselves.

Chet is one of my least favorite players in the NBA. Seems mad corny. And like others I don’t like OKC. Etc.

Chet’s a damn good player. Wemby just has his number. It’s not like Chet is ass in the other series. OKC could go on to the finals and Chet plays out of his mind because no one is stopping him the same as Wemby.

This is a prisoner of the moment thread. Chet is one of the most important players on the Thunder. They won a championship last year, and they're tied in the WCF this year. I don't see any cause for concern when it comes to his game.

Chet's an amazing young 2-way center. He just looks like lil bro when playing against Wemby.
Not sure how that's his fault. And not sure how he's going to be able to put on much needed mass with that frame of his.

You clearly don't understand the term overrated. Nobody is saying Chet or Draymond are bad players- but you can be a top 10 player in the world and be overrated or the 180th best player and be overrated.

Draymond is a talented player but averaging 8 ppg and 7 rpg isn't making a single allstar team unless you are on the best team in the world which he was thanks to Curry, Durant and co.

Offensively nobody guards him, he has made a career of running dribble handoffs with the best shooters in the league and racking up "assists". Or existing after teams double Curry and getting to play 4 on 3 because of other players greatness.

No doubt he is an awesome defender and smart player, but dude was consistently overrated as a borderline top 15-20 player but as a stated he would have been the 4th option on teams that were winning 20 games.

Hence why when the Warriors have been without Curry they have been terrible.
85-134 last 10 yrs or so.

People talk highly of Chet but when I watch the Thunder...I barely notice him.

The thing is, though, that Draymond being on the court generally means that his team winds up with more points than the opponent. With Steph, without Steph. Against bad opponents, against great opponents. Draymond being on the floor, controlling for teammate and opponent quality, provides insane lift. The way he plays, his team wins.

That’s not to say that he isn’t a dick and that he hasn’t been fortunate in many ways, but he was a monster player, easily top-10 in the league at his peak. He had once-in-a-decade defensive impact while also being a more than capable ball-handler and passer.
Also, something that might surprise people. I think when it comes to athleticism, agility, physical attributes and skill I rate LeBron only in the top 50.

Green was the second best player on a team that won 73 games and lost in 7 in the finals to the goat in a series where he was by far the best player on his team.

Obviously Curry is their best player and is more important than Green. But it's not like Green's absence doesn't show up in the record.

Warriors are:
617-332 with him
85-87 without him

OKC won again tonight because Chet got to be the 4th or 5th banana.

He's not good enough for this comparison in his current role.

Though if he played next to prime Steph, he'd probably be seen in a totally different light offensively.
