Looks Dallas-bound after how the lottery played out.

Definitely a move Dallas would have made but he's not really a Masai or Mike type pick.

Mike is an Arizona graduate, who typically prefers younger players. I don't think either is scaring him off Buries. Also, Masai likes guys that play defense over a Mikal Brown or Acuff potentially.

There is a reason Toronto never traded for Trae Young.

With Flagg already in place, Dallas is also more likely to be content picking a role player like Burries imo rather than swinging for a star.

Dallas doesn't have a first round pick next season and are desperate for talent. BPA will be the target. The focus won't be a role player for any team drafting in the top 10.

It's gotta be over for both right?

I’m under on height and I think the wingspan might be right on.

I was wrong on both accounts.

Burries and Acuff measured a bit bigger than I thought they would. Good to see.

As a UA fan, I hate to say it, but I just don't see what others do. I mean, could he be a solid role player? Sure. Maybe over time you can develop him into a Derrick White-lite. But mocks writing him as a a running mate to Flagg are out of their mind.

He's not getting a ton of hype as much as he did before the combine. He was getting some, maybe 8 to Atlanta and for sure 9 with Dallas.

Now, his name hasn't been attached to any top 10 team. This is odd. He might fall.

Hard to measure motor here since Marcus Smart had a 100/100 motor.

Good rebounds, good steals, pretty good amount of offensive rebounds for a guard, lots of fouls drawn ... I am not worried about Burries' motor, I think he has some F-you energy. I think somewhere on the Kris Dunn --- Marcus Smart --- Jrue Holiday spectrum in role and outcome makes a lot of sense. I love him, I think he is the kind of player that will have a long career even if he is just a nice bench player, ultimately.

Feel like he's perfect for any of the teams after pick 8 for varying reasons and that's likely where he goes. He is older but he was one of the most athletic at the combine and is just all-around a really solid two-way player. I don't think star is out of the question because better spacing will allow his athleticism to play better. I wouldn't count on it though. I'm definitely still taking him after the other guards except Philon but it's not a knock it's just that I think they're more dynamic. That said, if we look back in 5 years and he's better than some or most of them I wouldn't be too surprised.
Foes..you DO realize I don't see your posts....right?

I have to admit, it has been very quiet on the Burries front. In the age of information leaks, there are certain guys no one is talking about at all. Perhaps NBA teams are learning, so they get their guys.

How do you compare him to Cason Wallace?

More physical and assertive offensively, not the same level of lateral speed and anticipation defensively, but still pretty good.

I see so much Derrick White in his game - in terms of play style, positional/team fit. Super safe pick and don't see how he wouldn't be a quality NBA player, but also don't see all star/high usage in his future
